Abstract

The present application relates to the technical field of secondary batteries, and in particular to a binder for secondary batteries and a preparation method thereof, a separator comprising the binder, a battery cell, a battery and an electrical apparatus. The binder for secondary batteries includes an organic polymer. The organic polymer has a first glass transition temperature and a second glass transition temperature, the first glass transition temperature is less than or equal to 25° C., and the second glass transition temperature is greater than 25° C. During coating of a separator, the binder is non-viscous at room temperature to facilitate winding and unwinding of the separator. However, the binder has a better bonding force when a cold pressing process is carried out after the winding with positive and negative electrode plates, so that the positive and negative electrode plates and the separator fit each other closely.
