Abstract

A system, method, device, and platform for monetizing data. A smart contract is established indicating how data from a user is retrieved and utilized by a data platform. Data associated with a user is automatically retrieved from one of a number of sources based on the smart contract. The data is added to a data set associated with the user. One or more blockchain tokens are created based on the data set of the user. The user is compensated for monetizing the one or more blockchain tokens associated with the data set of the user.

Claims (34)

1 . A method for monetizing data utilizing a data platform, comprising:

establishing a smart contract indicating how data from a user is retrieved and utilized by the data platform, wherein the data includes at least personal data and transactional data for transactions performed by the user;

automatically retrieving the data associated with the user from one or more sources utilizing the data platform based on the smart contract;

adding the data to a data set associated with the user;

creating one or more blockchain tokens associated with the data set of the user; and

compensating the user for monetizing the one or more blockchain tokens associated with the data set of the user according to the smart contract.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

compensating a service provider or third party associated with the data platform for monetizing the data set.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the smart contract is established between the user and a service provider managing at least the data platform.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

requesting additional data from the user in response to determining the data set is incomplete or irrelevant.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the smart contract specifies how the data is utilized, shared, and monetized.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data platform utilizes machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify the data is associated with the user from among a plurality of potential users.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising;

requesting the user confirm that the data is applicable to the user, current, relevant, marketable, and authorized for inclusion in the data set utilizing the data platform.

8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving payments from one or more interested parties to access the data set utilizing the one or more tokens.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data is retrieved utilizing activities, actions, accounts, profiles, and devices associated with the user.

10 . A system for monetizing data, comprising:

a plurality of electronic devices executing a data application, the data application is configured to capture the data associated with a user, wherein the data includes at least personal data and transactional data for transactions performed by the user; and

a data platform including at least a logic engine and a memory, the data platform is accessible through a communications interface by the plurality of electronic devices communicating with the data application through one or more networks, wherein the data platform establishes a smart contract indicating how the data is retrieved and utilized by the data platform, automatically retrieves data associated with a user from one or more sources utilizing the data platform based on the smart contract, adding the data to a data set associated with the user, creating one or more blockchain tokens associated with the data set of the user, and compensating the user for monetizing the one or more blockchain tokens associated with the data set of the user according to the smart contract.

11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more blockchain tokens include the data set or point to the data set for secure access by one or more interested parties that pay to access the data set.

12 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the smart contract specifies how the data is utilized, shared, and monetized.

13 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the data platform utilizes machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify the data is associated with the user from among a plurality of potential users.

14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the data platform confirms that the data is applicable, current, and relevant, to the user utilizing a survey, message, or in-application message.

15 . The system of claim 10 , requesting additional data in response to determining the data set associated with the user is incomplete or irrelevant.

16 . A data platform, comprising:

a processor for executing a set of instructions;

a memory for storing the set of instructions, wherein the instructions are executed to:

establish a smart contract that indicates how data is retrieved and utilized by the data platform, wherein the data includes at least personal data and transactional data for transactions performed by the user, automatically retrieving the data associated with the user from one or more sources utilizing the data platform based on the smart contract, add the data to a data set associated with the user, creating one or more blockchain tokens associated with the data set of the user, and compensate the user for monetizing the one or more blockchain tokens associated with the data set of the user according to the smart contract.

17 . The data platform of claim 16 , wherein the one or more blockchain tokens points to the data set for secure access by one or more interested parties that pay to access the data set.

18 . The data platform of claim 16 , wherein the smart contract specifies how the data is utilized, shared, and monetized.

19 . The data platform of claim 16 , wherein the instructions are further executed to receive additional data to complete the data set in response to determining the data set is not complete or irrelevant.

20 . The data platform of claim 16 , wherein the data platform further determines relevance of the data set to one or more interested parties, receives payments from the one or more interested parties to access the one or more blockchain tokens associated with the data set, and compensates the user for the one or more interested parties accessing the one or more blockchain tokens.
