Abstract

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing dynamic, prioritized spectrum utilization management. The system includes at least one monitoring sensor, at least one data analysis engine, at least one application, a semantic engine, a programmable rules and policy editor, a tip and cue server, and/or a control panel. The tip and cue server is operable utilize the environmental awareness from the data processed by the at least one data analysis engine in combination with additional information to create actionable data.

Claims (39)

1. A system for spectrum management in an electromagnetic environment comprising:

at least one sensor operable to create measured data based on the electromagnetic environment;

at least one data analysis engine for analyzing the measured data;

at least one server; and

at least one resource coordinator;

wherein the at least one resource coordinator, the at least one server, and/or the at least one data analysis engine are in communication;

wherein the at least one server is operable to use analyzed data from the at least one data analysis engine to create actionable data; and

wherein the at least one resource coordinator is operable to communicate with at least one base station to modify parameters based on the actionable data.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one server is operable to create the actionable data by translating a rule set into optimization objectives, wherein the optimization objectives include constraints associated with signal characteristics.

3. The system of claim 1 , further comprising a survey occupancy application operable to identify at least two signals which exist in a band based on interference between the at least two signals.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the actionable data includes dynamic spectrum utilization data.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the actionable data is used with at least one machine learning algorithm to provide results and/or solutions.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the actionable data relates to sharing frequency bands.

7. The system of claim 1 , further comprising a survey occupancy application, wherein the survey occupancy application is operable to schedule occupancy in at least one frequency band.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the actionable data is created based on government defined rules.

9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the actionable data is created based on customer defined rules.

10. A system for spectrum management in an electromagnetic environment comprising:

at least one sensor operable to create measured data based on the electromagnetic environment;

at least one data analysis engine for creating analyzed data based on the measured data;

at least one resource coordinator; and

a survey occupancy application;

wherein the at least one resource coordinator, the survey occupancy application, and/or the at least one data analysis engine are in communication;

wherein the at least one resource coordinator is operable to communicate with at least one base station to modify parameters based on actionable data created from the analyzed data; and

wherein the survey occupancy application is operable to schedule occupancy in at least one frequency band based on the actionable data.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the actionable data applies to heterogeneous networks.

12. The system of claim 10 , wherein the actionable data includes actionable data for dynamic spectrum utilization.

13. The system of claim 10 , wherein the actionable data is used with at least one machine learning algorithm to provide results and/or solutions.

14. The system of claim 10 , further comprising a geolocation engine operable to use spinning direction finding via rotating directional antennas to estimate a direction of arrival of an emitter of at least one signal of interest.

15. A system for spectrum management in an electromagnetic environment comprising:

at least one sensor operable to create measured data based on the electromagnetic environment;

at least one data analysis engine for creating analyzed data based on the measured data; and

a survey occupancy application;

wherein the survey occupancy application and the at least one data analysis engine are in communication; and

wherein the survey occupancy application is operable to schedule occupancy in at least one frequency band based on actionable data created from the analyzed data.

16. The system of claim 15 , further comprising at least one resource coordinator operable to coordinate resources based on the actionable data.

17. The system of claim 15 , wherein the actionable data relates to sharing frequency bands.

18. The system of claim 15 , wherein the actionable data includes actionable data for dynamic spectrum utilization.

19. The system of claim 15 , wherein the actionable data is created by translating a rule set into optimization objectives, wherein the optimization objectives include constraints associated with signal characteristics.
