Abstract

A first surface of a separator for an electrode assembly includes a first passage region and a first blocking region. The first blocking region is formed by spraying or scraping an insulating material on edge regions on two sides of the first surface in a first direction X, the first direction X is perpendicular to an extension direction of the separator, and the first passage region is the region on the first surface except the first blocking region. The first passage region is configured for passage of ions from an electrolyte, and the first blocking region is configured to block the ions from the electrolyte.
