SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRESENTING SUPPLEMENTAL CONTENT IN AUGMENTED REALITY
Systems and methods provided for presenting supplemental content in an augmented reality environment where an object within a field of view of an augmented reality device of a user is identified and processed to detect a reference related to a participant in an event. A user profile or user social network is searched to identify a message from the user about the participant. The message may be combined with the object in the augmented reality field of view.

52 . A method, comprising:
receiving an input requesting information related to an object in a field of view of an augmented reality device;
analyzing an image comprising at least a portion of the field of view to detect a plurality of distinct objects within the field of view;
based at least in part on the input, identifying an object of the plurality of distinct objects;
identifying metadata associated with the identified object;
searching a social media platform using the metadata associated with the identified object to identify social media content related to the identified object; and
generating, for presentation, the social media content to the augmented reality device.
53 . The method of claim 52 , further comprising determining the identified object comprises a reference to an event, wherein the metadata associated with the identified object is identified based at least in part on the reference to the event.
54 . The method of claim 52 , further comprising determining the identified object comprises a reference to a person, wherein the metadata associated with the identified object is identified based at least in part on the reference to the person.
55 . The method of claim 52 , further comprising determining the identified object is related to a user account associated with the augmented reality device, wherein the metadata associated with the identified object is identified based at least in part on the relationship to the user account.
56 . The method of claim 52 , wherein searching the social media platform using the metadata associated with the identified object to identify social media content related to the identified object comprises comparing the metadata associated with the identified object to metadata associated with social media content of the social media platform.
57 . The method of claim 52 , further comprising determining the identified object is related to a user account associated with the augmented reality device, wherein searching a social media platform comprises searching the user account.
58 . The method of claim 52 , wherein the input comprises an indication of an area of the field of view on which a camera of the augmented reality device is focused.
59 . The method of claim 52 , wherein the input is received through a voice recognition interface.
60 . The method of claim 52 , wherein generating, for presentation, the social media content to the augmented reality device comprises generating, for presentation using speakers of the augmented reality device, audio related to the social media content.
61 . The method of claim 52 , wherein generating, for presentation, the social media content to the augmented reality device comprises generating, for presentation using a display of the augmented reality device, the social media content.
62 . A system, comprising:
input/output interface circuitry configured to receive an input requesting information related to an object in a field of view of an augmented reality device; and
control circuitry configured to:
analyze an image comprising at least a portion of the field of view to detect a plurality of distinct objects within the field of view;
based at least in part on the input, identify an object of the plurality of distinct objects;
identify metadata associated with the identified object;
search a social media platform using the metadata associated with the identified object to identify social media content related to the identified object; and
generate, for presentation, the social media content to the augmented reality device.
63 . The system of claim 62 , wherein:
the control circuitry is further configured to determine the identified object comprises a reference to an event; and
the metadata associated with the identified object is identified based at least in part on the reference to the event.
64 . The system of claim 62 , wherein:
the control circuitry is further configured to determine the identified object comprises a reference to a person; and
the metadata associated with the identified object is identified based at least in part on the reference to the person.
65 . The system of claim 62 , wherein:
the control circuitry is further configured to determine the identified object is related to a user account associated with the augmented reality device; and
the metadata associated with the identified object is identified based at least in part on the relationship to the user account.

The system of claim 62 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to search the social media platform using the metadata associated with the identified object to identify social media content related to the identified object by comparing the metadata associated with the identified object to metadata associated with social media content of the social media platform.
67 . The system of claim 62 , wherein:
the control circuitry is further configured to determine the identified object is related to a user account associated with the augmented reality device; and
the control circuitry is configured to search a social media platform by searching the user account.
68 . The system of claim 62 , wherein the input comprises an indication of an area of the field of view on which a camera of the augmented reality device is focused.
69 . The system of claim 62 , wherein the input is received through a voice recognition interface of the system.
70 . The system of claim 62 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to generate, for presentation, the social media content to the augmented reality device by generating, for presentation using speakers of the augmented reality device, audio related to the social media content.
71 . The system of claim 62 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to generate, for presentation, the social media content to the augmented reality device by generating, for presentation using a display of the augmented reality device, the social media content.
