Abstract

A wireless device is associated with a first configuration of a second gap for a second procedure of the wireless device. The wireless device transmits, to a base station: information of a first gap for a first procedure and an indication of a request. The indication of the request is for a second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure.

Claims (63)

1 . A wireless device, associated with a first configuration of a second gap for a second procedure of the wireless device, comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

transmit, to a base station:

information of a first gap for a first procedure; and

an indication of a request for a second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure.

2 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to:

receive, from the base station, the first configuration of the second gap for the second procedure of the wireless device.

3 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting is based on determining, by the wireless device, to transmit, to the base station, the information of the first gap for the first procedure.

4 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to:

determine, that at least a portion of the first gap and the second gap are overlapping.

5 . The wireless device of claim 4 , wherein the transmitting is based on the determining that at least a portion of the first gap and the second gap are overlapping.

6 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein:

the instructions further cause the wireless device to receive, from the base station, the second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure; and

the second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure is received from the base station in a radio resource control reconfiguration message.

7 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein:

the first gap is a multi universal subscriber identity module (MUSIM) gap;

the first procedure is a MUSIM procedure;

the second gap is a measurement gap; or

the second procedure is a measurement procedure.

8 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein:

the first gap is a measurement gap;

the first procedure is a measurement procedure;

the second gap is a multi universal subscriber identity module (MUSIM) gap; or

the second procedure is a MUSIM procedure.

9 . A base station comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to:

receive, from a wireless device associated with a first configuration of a second gap for a second procedure of the wireless device:

information of a first gap for a first procedure; and

an indication of a request for a second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure.

10 . The base station of claim 9 , wherein the instructions further cause the base station to:

transmit, to the wireless device, the first configuration of the second gap for the second procedure of the wireless device.

11 . The base station of claim 9 , further comprising determining, by the base station, the second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure of the wireless device.

12 . The base station of claim 11 , wherein the determining the second configuration of the second gap is based on one or more of:

the information of the first gap for the first procedure;

the first configuration of the second gap for the second procedure; and

the indication of the request for the second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure.

13 . The base station of claim 9 , wherein:

the instructions further cause the base station to transmit, to the wireless device, the second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure, and

the second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure is received from the base station in a radio resource control reconfiguration message.

14 . The base station of claim 9 , wherein:

the first gap is a multi universal subscriber identity module (MUSIM) gap;

the first procedure is a MUSIM procedure;

the second gap is a measurement gap; or

the second procedure is a measurement procedure.

15 . The base station of claim 9 , wherein:

the first gap is a measurement gap;

the first procedure is a measurement procedure;

the second gap is a multi universal subscriber identity module (MUSIM) gap; or

the second procedure is a MUSIM procedure.

16 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a wireless device associated with a first configuration of a second gap for a second procedure of

the wireless device, cause the wireless device to:

transmit, to a base station:

information of a first gap for a first procedure; and

an indication of a request for a second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure.

17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to:

receive, from the base station, the first configuration of the second gap for the second procedure of the wireless device.

18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to:

determine, that at least a portion of the first gap and the second gap are overlapping.

19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the transmitting is based on the determining that at least a portion of the first gap and the second gap are overlapping.

20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to:

receive, from the base station, the second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure, wherein the second configuration of the second gap for the second procedure is received from the base station in a radio resource control reconfiguration message.
