CATHETER HAVING ANGLED TIP
A neurovascular catheter having an elongate flexible tubular body. The body can have a catheter distal face residing on a first plane being at a first nonorthogonal angle relative to the longitudinal axis. The body can have a radiopaque marker being positioned in a distal zone of the tubular body and being proximal to the catheter distal face. The marker can have a marker distal face at least partially residing on a second plane being at a second nonorthogonal angle relative to the longitudinal axis. The first plane can be approximately parallel to the second plane.

a jacket at least partially surrounding the coil, the jacket extending distally beyond a distal end of the coil and terminating at the catheter distal face.
. The catheter of claim 22 , wherein the coil comprises Nitinol.
. The catheter of claim 22 , wherein the jacket is formed from at least five discrete axially adjacent tubular segments.
. The catheter of claim 22 , wherein the radial support band is embedded in the jacket between the distal end of the coil and the catheter distal face.
. The catheter of claim 22 , wherein the distal zone of the elongate flexible tubular body comprises an inner liner, and wherein the coil at least partially surrounds the inner liner.
. The catheter of claim 26 , wherein the inner liner is formed by dip coating a removable mandrel.

. The catheter of claim 29 , wherein the filament comprises a length of at least about 10 cm.
. The catheter of claim 29 , wherein the filament increases a tensile strength of the elongate flexible tubular body to at least about 2 pounds.
. The catheter of claim 29 , wherein the filament is carried between the inner liner and the coil.
. The catheter of claim 21 , wherein the radial support band comprises a proximal face that is approximately perpendicular to longitudinal axis of the elongate flexible tubular body.
. The catheter of claim 21 , wherein the catheter distal face defines a leading edge of the elongate flexible tubular body which extends distally of a trailing edge of the elongate flexible tubular body, the leading edge and trailing edge spaced about 180 degrees apart from each other around the longitudinal axis.
. The catheter of claim 21 , wherein an advance segment of the elongate flexible tubular body extends distally beyond the radial support band.
. The catheter of claim 21 , wherein an axial length of the radial support band on a leading edge side of the elongate flexible tubular body is at least about 20% longer than an axial length of the radial support band on a trailing edge side of the elongate flexible tubular body.
. The catheter of claim 21 , wherein a proximal segment of the elongate flexible tubular body extending proximal to the radial support band has a lower bending stiffness than a segment of the elongate flexible tubular body where the radial support band is positioned.
