Determining energy sources to a location
View Patent ↗An example operation includes one or more of determining, by a vehicle, an amount of energy to provide to a location, the energy located in one or more energy sources including the vehicle, an energy storage device, and an electric grid, the determining based on an ambient temperature of the vehicle, an ambient temperature of the energy storage device, a capacity of a battery in the vehicle, a capacity of the energy storage device, a demand of the electric grid, and an internal temperature of the location; and directing, by the vehicle, at least one of the energy sources to provide the amount of energy, based on determining.
1 . A method, comprising:
determining by a vehicle an amount of energy to provide at a premises by one or more energy sources comprising the vehicle, an energy storage device, or an electric grid to satisfy an energy requirement at the premises; and
directing the energy storage device to provide the amount of energy in response to an ambient temperature of the energy storage device being higher than an ambient temperature of the vehicle and closer to an optimal temperature range for operation of the energy storage device, and the electric grid experiencing a peak demand phase.
2 . The method of claim 1 , comprising:
managing, by the vehicle, a distribution of the amount of energy to one or more devices at the premises, wherein the managing the distribution comprises limiting energy to the one or more of devices for a period of time.
3 . The method of claim 1 , comprising:
preventing, by the vehicle, a battery in the vehicle from providing the amount of energy to the premises based on a battery capacity threshold for the battery in the vehicle.
4 . The method of claim 1 , comprising:
preventing, by the vehicle, a battery in the vehicle from providing the amount of energy to the premises based on an ambient temperature threshold for the battery in the vehicle.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining the amount of energy to provide to the premises comprises:
analyzing a cost of providing the amount of energy from a battery in the vehicle, the energy storage device, and the electric grid.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining the amount of energy to provide to the premises comprises analyzing an inversion factor related to converting the energy to be utilized at the premises.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the ambient temperature of the vehicle and the ambient temperature of the energy storage device depend on a proximity to each other and the premises.
8 . A system, comprising:
a processor; and
a memory storing one or more instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to:
determine an amount of energy to provide at a premises by one or more energy sources comprising the vehicle, an energy storage device, or an electric grid to satisfy an energy requirement at the premises; and
direct the energy storage device to provide the amount of energy in response to an ambient temperature of the energy storage device being higher than an ambient temperature of the vehicle and closer to an optimal temperature range for operation of the energy storage device, and the electric grid experiencing a peak demand phase.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor is configured to:
manage a distribution of the amount of energy to one or more devices at the premises, wherein the managing the distribution comprises limiting energy to the one or more of devices for a period of time.
10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor is configured to:
prevent a battery in the vehicle from providing the amount of energy to the premises based on a battery capacity threshold for the battery in the vehicle.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor is configured to:
prevent a battery in the vehicle from providing the amount of energy to the premises based on an ambient temperature threshold for the battery in the vehicle.
12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein when the processor determines the amount of energy to provide to the premises, the processor is further configured to:
analyze a cost to provide the amount of energy from a battery in the vehicle, the energy storage device, and the electric grid.
13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein when the processor determines the amount of energy to provide to the premises, the processor is further configured to:
identify an inversion factor related to a conversion of the energy to be utilized at the premises.
14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the ambient temperature of the vehicle and the ambient temperature of the energy storage device depend on a proximity to each other and the premises.
15 . A computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by a processor of a vehicle, cause the processor to perform:
determining an amount of energy to provide at a premises by one or more energy sources comprising the vehicle, an energy storage device, or an electric grid to satisfy an energy requirement at the premises; and
directing the energy storage device to provide the amount of energy in response to an ambient temperature of the energy storage device being higher than an ambient temperature of the vehicle and closer to an optimal temperature range for operation of the energy storage device, and the electric grid experiencing a peak demand phase.
16 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the instructions cause the processor to perform:
managing a distribution of the amount of energy to one or more devices at the premises, wherein the managing the distribution comprises limiting energy to the one or more of devices for a period of time.
17 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the instructions cause the processor to perform:
preventing a battery in the vehicle from providing the amount of energy to the premises based on a battery capacity threshold for the battery in the vehicle.
18 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the instructions cause the processor to perform:
preventing a battery in the vehicle from providing the amount of energy to the premises based on an ambient temperature threshold for the battery in the vehicle.
19 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the determining the amount of energy to provide to the premises comprises:
analyzing a cost of providing the amount of energy from a battery in the vehicle, the energy storage device, and the electric grid.
20 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the ambient temperature of the vehicle and the ambient temperature of the energy storage device depend on a proximity to each other and the premises.
