Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first wireless communication device may transmit, to a second wireless communication device, a post-processing signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (PPSINR) message identifying the PPSINR value. The first wireless communication device may receive, from the second wireless communication device and based on transmitting the PPSINR message identifying the PPSINR value, a communication in accordance with the PPSINR value. Numerous other aspects are described.

Claims (66)

1 . A first wireless communication device for wireless communication, comprising:

one or more memories; and

one or more processors, coupled to the one or more memories, configured to cause the first wireless communication device to:

transmit, to a second wireless communication device, a post-processing signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (PPSINR) message identifying a PPSINR value; and

receive, from the second wireless communication device and based on transmitting the PPSINR message identifying the PPSINR value, a communication in accordance with the PPSINR value.

2 . The first wireless communication device of claim 1 , wherein the PPSINR message is a periodic message.

3 . The first wireless communication device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the first wireless communication device to:

receive, from a second wireless communication device, a request for identification of a PPSINR value; and

wherein the one or more processors, to cause the first wireless communication device to transmit the PPSINR message, are configured to cause the first wireless communication device to:

transmit the PPSINR message based on reception of the request.

4 . The first wireless communication device of claim 3 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the first wireless communication device to:

transmit, based on a connection establishment, a UE capability indicator identifying a capability associated with PPSINR signaling, and

wherein the reception of the request for identification of the PPSINR value is based on the transmission of the UE capability indicator.

5 . The first wireless communication device of claim 4 , wherein the UE capability indicator includes information identifying at least one of:

a granularity associated with the PPSINR value,

a time characteristic associated with the PPSINR value,

an interference characteristic associated with the PPSINR value,

a frequency characteristic associated with the PPSINR value, or

a droop characteristic associated with the PPSINR value.

6 . The first wireless communication device of claim 3 , wherein the request includes information identifying at least one of:

a frequency group size parameter,

a time parameter, or

a compression type parameter.

7 . The first wireless communication device of claim 6 , wherein the compression type parameter indicates at least one of:

a per resource element PPSINR value,

a per resource element group PPSINR value,

a time domain PPSINR value, or

a linear representation PPSINR value.

8 . The first wireless communication device of claim 1 , wherein the communication is pre-equalized at a transmitter in accordance with the PPSINR value.

9 . The first wireless communication device of claim 1 , wherein the PPSINR message is transmitted based on the PPSINR value being different from a previous PPSINR value.

10 . The first wireless communication device of claim 1 , wherein the PPSINR message includes an interference indication.

11 . A second wireless communication device for wireless communication, comprising:

one or more memories; and

one or more processors, coupled to the one or more memories, configured to cause the second wireless communication device to:

receive, from a first wireless communication device, a post-processing signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (PPSINR) message identifying a PPSINR value; and

transmit, to the first wireless communication device and based on the reception of the PPSINR message identifying the PPSINR value, a communication in accordance with the PPSINR value.

12 . The second wireless communication device of claim 11 , wherein the PPSINR message is a periodic message.

13 . The second wireless communication device of claim 12 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the second wireless communication device to:

equalize a channel response of the communication based on the PPSINR value.

14 . The second wireless communication device of claim 12 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the second wireless communication device to:

apply a positive gain to an input signal to generate the communication in accordance with the PPSINR value.

15 . The second wireless communication device of claim 11 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the second wireless communication device to:

transmit, to the first wireless communication device, a request for identification of a PPSINR value; and

wherein the one or more processors, to cause the second wireless communication device to receive the PPSINR message, are configured to cause the second wireless communication device to:

receive the PPSINR message based on transmission of the request.

16 . The second wireless communication device of claim 15 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the second wireless communication device to:

receive, based on a connection establishment, a UE capability indicator identifying a capability associated with PPSINR signaling, and

wherein the transmission of the request for identification of the PPSINR value is based on the reception of the UE capability indicator.

17 . The second wireless communication device of claim 16 , wherein the UE capability indicator includes information identifying at least one of:

a granularity associated with the PPSINR value,

a time characteristic associated with the PPSINR value,

an interference characteristic associated with the PPSINR value,

a frequency characteristic associated with the PPSINR value, or

a droop characteristic associated with the PPSINR value.

18 . The second wireless communication device of claim 15 , wherein the request includes information identifying at least one of:

a frequency group size parameter,

a time parameter, or

a compression type parameter.

19 . The second wireless communication device of claim 18 , wherein the compression type parameter indicates at least one of:

a per resource element PPSINR value,

a per resource element group PPSINR value,

a time domain PPSINR value, or

a linear representation PPSINR value.

20 . A method of wireless communication performed by a first wireless communication device, comprising:

transmitting, to a second wireless communication device, a post-processing signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (PPSINR) message identifying a PPSINR value; and

receiving, from the second wireless communication device and based on transmitting the PPSINR message identifying the PPSINR value, a communication in accordance with the PPSINR value.
