Abstract

Stormwater management systems, methods, and apparatuses for containing and filtering runoff may be provided. In one implementation, a flared end ramp for managing flow of material into a stormwater chamber may be provided. The flared end ramp may include an inlet end configured for connection with a pipe, a side wall of the flared end ramp having a rounded profile at the inlet end; an outlet end configured for placement within the stormwater chamber; and an inclined surface extending between the inlet end and the outlet end of the flared end ramp and configured to deliver material from the pipe into the stormwater chamber. The outlet end of the flared end ramp may have a larger width than the inlet end of the flared end ramp such that the inclined surface is angled laterally outward from the inlet end toward the outlet end.

Claims (34)

1 - 20 . (canceled)

21 . A flared end ramp for managing a flow of material into a stormwater chamber,

the flared end ramp comprising:

an inlet end configured for connection to a pipe or an inlet end cap of the stormwater chamber;

an outlet end configured for placement within the stormwater chamber;

an inclined surface extending between the inlet end and the outlet end, wherein the inclined surface includes at least one drainage groove extending between the inlet end and the outlet end; and

at least one support foot connected to a bottom surface of the outlet end.

22 . The flared end ramp of claim 21 , wherein the at least one support foot comprises a support foot extending laterally between a first side wall and a second side wall of the flared end ramp.

23 . The flared end ramp of claim 21 , wherein the at least one support foot comprises:

a first support foot extending laterally from a first side wall of the flared end ramp; and

a second support foot extending laterally from a second side wall of the flared end ramp.

24 . The flared end ramp of claim 21 , wherein the stormwater chamber comprises an open-bottom chamber.

25 . The flared end ramp of claim 24 , wherein the at least one support foot is configured to extend below a width of the stormwater chamber.

26 . The flared end ramp of claim 25 , wherein the at least one support foot is configured to secure the flared end ramp relative to the stormwater chamber.

27 . The flared end ramp of claim 21 , wherein the at least one support foot is configured to have a width equal to a width of the stormwater chamber.

28 . The flared end ramp of claim 21 , wherein the at least one support foot is configured to have a width larger than a width of the stormwater chamber.

29 . The flared end ramp of claim 21 , wherein the at least one support foot has a height of less than one inch.

30 . The flared end ramp of claim 21 , wherein the at least one support foot has a height of 0.25 inches.

31 . The flared end ramp of claim 21 , wherein the at least one support foot has a width between 25 inches and 125 inches.

32 . The flared end ramp of claim 31 , wherein a sidewall of the flared end ramp has a semi-circular profile or an annular profile at the inlet end.

33 . The flared end ramp of claim 31 , wherein the inclined surface includes a flattened bottom portion at the outlet end.

34 . The flared end ramp of claim 31 , wherein an outlet end has a larger width than the inlet end such that the inclined surface is angled laterally outward from the inlet end towards the outlet end.

35 . The flared end ramp of claim 31 , wherein the at least one drainage groove includes:

a drainage groove extending along a midline of the inclined surface; and

a drainage groove originating near a center of the inclined surface at the inlet end and extending laterally outward towards the outlet end.

36 . The flared end ramp of claim 35 , wherein the at least one drainage groove is configured to guide runoff towards side walls of the stormwater chamber.

37 . The flared end ramp of claim 35 , wherein the at least one drainage groove is configured to guide runoff along a midline of the flared end ramp.

38 . The flared end ramp of claim 31 , wherein the inlet end cap is configured to connect to an inlet pipe.

39 . The flared end ramp of claim 31 , wherein the inlet pipe is configured to pass through the inlet end cap into the stormwater chamber.

40 . A method for forming a stormwater chamber, flared end ramp, and inlet cap system for managing flow of material into a stormwater chamber, the method comprising:

providing a flared end ramp having a first end and a second end, and a ramp surface configured to incline from the first end to the second end, the ramp surface including at least one drainage groove extending between the first end and the second end;

providing a stormwater chamber inlet end cap;

connecting the flared end ramp to the chamber inlet end cap; and

attaching the ramp and end cap to the stormwater chamber.
