Abstract

Systems and methods for account association with voice-enabled devices are disclosed. For example, a voice-enabled device situated in a managed environment, such as a hotel room, may be taken by a temporary resident or guest of the environment. Upon determining that the device has been removed from the environment, a device identifier associated with the device may be dissociated from components and/or services associated with environment and/or systems related thereto, and the device identifier may be associated with a user account of the user.

Claims (74)

1 . A method comprising:

storing first data indicating that a voice-enabled device is associated with a first account, the first account associated with a hotel;

receiving, from a system associated with the hotel, an indication that a user has been associated with a space of the hotel;

determining that the voice-enabled device is associated with the space of the hotel;

determining to temporarily associate the voice-enabled device with a second account of the user while the voice-enabled device is also associated with the first account of the hotel;

receiving, from the voice-enabled device and while the voice-enabled device is associated with the first account and second account, audio data representing a user command; and

selecting an application to utilize to produce a response to the user command, the application selected from a first group of applications associated with the first account and a second group of applications associated with the second account.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining, based at least in part on speech processing performed on the audio data, that the user command is associated with a subject matter of the hotel; and

determining to select the application from the first group of applications associated with the first account based at least in part on the user command being associated with the subject matter of the hotel.

3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining, based at least in part on speech processing performed on the audio data, that the user command is associated with a subject matter of the second account of the user; and

determining to select the application from the second group of applications associated with the second account based at least in part on the user command being associated with the subject matter of the second account.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining, based at least in part on speech processing performed on the audio data, that the user command is associated with a subject matter of the hotel; and

querying the system associated with the hotel for information associated with the user command based at least in part on the user command being associated with the subject matter of the hotel.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving an indication that the user has been dissociated with the space; and

causing the second account to be dissociated with the voice-enabled device based at least in part on receiving the indication.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving an indication that the first account of the hotel has been dissociated with the voice-enabled device; and

causing the first group of applications to be dissociated with the voice-enabled device based at least in part on receiving the indication.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving an indication that the second account of the user has been dissociated with the voice-enabled device; and

causing the second group of applications to be dissociated with the voice-enabled device based at least in part on receiving the indication.

8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining, based at least in part on speech processing performed on the audio data, that the user command is associated with a subject matter of the hotel;

determining to utilize geolocation data associated with the hotel based at least in part on the user command being associated with the subject matter of the hotel; and

determining a response to the user command utilizing the geolocation data.

9 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving input data from the voice-enabled device;

determining, utilizing speech processing, that the input data indicates an intent to dissociate the first account from the voice-enabled device; and

dissociating the first account from the voice-enabled device based at least in part on the intent.

10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

detecting presence of a user device associated with the second account within the space; and

determining to select the application from the second group of applications based at least in part on detecting the presence of the user device.

11 . A system comprising:

one or more processors; and

non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

storing first data indicating that a voice-enabled device is associated with a first account, the first account associated with a hotel;

receiving, from a remote system associated with the hotel, an indication that a user has been associated with a space of the hotel;

determining that the voice-enabled device is associated with the space of the hotel;

determining to temporarily associate the voice-enabled device with a second account of the user while the voice-enabled device is also associated with the first account of the hotel;

receiving, from the voice-enabled device and while the voice-enabled device is associated with the first account and second account, audio data representing a user command; and

selecting an application to utilize to produce a response to the user command, the application selected from a first group of applications associated with the first account and a second group of applications associated with the second account.

12 . The system of claim 11 , the operations further comprising:

determining, based at least in part on speech processing performed on the audio data, that the user command is associated with a subject matter of the hotel; and

determining to select the application from the first group of applications associated with the first account based at least in part on the user command being associated with the subject matter of the hotel.

13 . The system of claim 11 , the operations further comprising:

determining, based at least in part on speech processing performed on the audio data, that the user command is associated with a subject matter of the second account of the user; and

determining to select the application from the second group of applications associated with the second account based at least in part on the user command being associated with the subject matter of the second account.

14 . The system of claim 11 , the operations further comprising:

determining, based at least in part on speech processing performed on the audio data, that the user command is associated with a subject matter of the hotel; and

querying the remote system associated with the hotel for information associated with the user command based at least in part on the user command being associated with the subject matter of the hotel.

15 . The system of claim 11 , the operations further comprising:

receiving an indication that the user has been dissociated with the space; and

causing the second account to be dissociated with the voice-enabled device based at least in part on receiving the indication.

16 . The system of claim 11 , the operations further comprising:

receiving an indication that the first account of the hotel has been dissociated with the voice-enabled device; and

causing the first group of applications to be dissociated with the voice-enabled device based at least in part on receiving the indication.

17 . The system of claim 11 , the operations further comprising:

receiving an indication that the second account of the user has been dissociated with the voice-enabled device; and

causing the second group of applications to be dissociated with the voice-enabled device based at least in part on receiving the indication.

18 . The system of claim 11 , the operations further comprising:

determining, based at least in part on speech processing performed on the audio data, that the user command is associated with a subject matter of the hotel;

determining to utilize geolocation data associated with the hotel based at least in part on the user command being associated with the subject matter of the hotel; and

determining a response to the user command utilizing the geolocation data.

19 . The system of claim 11 , the operations further comprising:

receiving input data from the voice-enabled device;

determining, utilizing speech processing, that the input data indicates an intent to dissociate the first account from the voice-enabled device; and

dissociating the first account from the voice-enabled device based at least in part on the intent.

20 . The system of claim 11 , the operations further comprising:

detecting presence of a user device associated with the second account within the space; and

determining to select the application from the second group of applications based at least in part on detecting the presence of the user device.
