TRANSPLANTATION MEDIUM
A transplantation medium for subretinal transplantation of a retinal pigment epithelial cell contains hyaluronic acid and a pharmaceutically acceptable aqueous liquid, in which the viscosity of the transplantation medium at a shear rate of 2 (1/s) at 25° C. is 1.5 to 4 mPa·s.
1 . A transplantation medium for subretinal transplantation of a retinal pigment epithelial cell, the transplantation medium comprising:
hyaluronic acid and a pharmaceutically acceptable aqueous liquid,
wherein a viscosity at a shear rate of 2 (1/s) at 25° C. is 1.5 to 4 mPa·s.
2 . The transplantation medium according to claim 1 , wherein the viscosity at a shear rate of 2 (1/s) at 25° C. is 2 to 3 mPa·s.
3 . The transplantation medium according to claim 1 , wherein the viscosity at a shear rate of 1000 (1/s) at 25° C. is 3 mPa·s or less, and a difference in viscosity between the viscosity at a shear rate of 1 (1/s) and the viscosity at a shear rate of 10 (1/s) is 0.5 to 1.5 mPa·s.
4 . The transplantation medium according to claim 1 , wherein pH is 7.0 to 7.5.
5 . The transplantation medium according to claim 1 , wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable aqueous liquid is a balanced salt solution.
6 . The transplantation medium according to claim 1 , which is free of an antibacterial agent and a preservative.
7 . The transplantation medium according to claim 1 , which is free of chondroitin sulfate.
8 . The transplantation medium according to claim 1 , wherein in the transplantation, the vitreous body is replaced with air after subretinal transplantation.
9 . A transplantation composition comprising:
retinal pigment epithelial cells for transplantation; and
the transplantation medium according to claim 1 .
10 . The transplantation composition according to claim 9 , wherein the retinal pigment epithelial cells for transplantation is comprised at a concentration of 1×10 6 cells/mL to 5×10 7 cells/mL.
11 . The transplantation composition according to claim 9 , wherein a volume per transplantation is 10 μL to 100 μL.
