Abstract

Wireless communications using multiple active resources (e.g., bandwidth parts (BWPs)) are described. A wireless device may perform failure event detection, such as radio link monitoring (RLM) and/or beam failure detection (BPD), jointly or separately for multiple active resources (e.g., BWPs) based on one or more criteria.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein sending the indication of the determined failure for the at least two downlink BWPs comprises sending at least one of:

one or more messages associated with beam failure recovery; or

one or more messages associated with a connection re-establishment.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication of the determined failure indicates failure of the at least two downlink BWPs.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined failure is at least one of:

a beam failure; or

a radio link failure.

10 . A method comprising:

activating, by a base station for a wireless device, at least two downlink bandwidth parts (BWPs) for a cell; and

receiving, from the wireless device, an indication of a determined failure for the at least two downlink BWPs, wherein the determined failure is based on radio link quality of one or more reference signals associated with one downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs.

11 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising:

sending one or more configuration parameters indicating:

the one or more reference signals for beam failure detection associated with the one downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs; and

one or more second reference signals for beam failure detection associated with a second downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs.

12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the determined failure is based on at least one of:

a beam failure detection associated with a first downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs; or

15 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the determined failure is at least one of:

a beam failure; or

a radio link failure.

16 . A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

activate at least two downlink bandwidth parts (BWPs) for a cell; and

based on radio link quality of one or more reference signals associated with one downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs, send an indication of a determined failure for the at least two downlink BWPs.

17 . The wireless device of claim 16 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive one or more configuration parameters indicating:

the one or more reference signals for beam failure detection associated with the one downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs; and

one or more second reference signals for beam failure detection associated with a second downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs.

18 . The wireless device of claim 16 , wherein the determined failure is based on at least one of:

a beam failure detection associated with a first downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs; or

a beam failure detection associated with a second downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs.

19 . The wireless device of claim 16 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to monitor, during an active state of a first downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs, a downlink control channel of the first downlink BWP.

20 . The wireless device of claim 16 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to determine the failure for the at least two downlink BWPs based on the radio link quality not satisfying a threshold.

21 . The wireless device of claim 16 , wherein the indication comprises a beam failure indication provided to a higher layer of the wireless device.

22 . The wireless device of claim 16 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to send the indication of the determined failure for the at least two downlink BWPs by sending at least one of:
