INTRAVASCULAR BLOOD PUMPS WITH STRUTS AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE
Catheter blood pumps that include an expandable pump portion, which include an expandable impeller housing. The housings include an expandable blood conduit that defines a blood lumen, and one or more pluralities of expandable struts extending axially from an end region of the expandable blood conduit. At least one of the pluralities of struts are non-unitary with a blood conduit at the end region.

2 . A catheter blood pump, comprising:
an elongate shaft;
a plurality of expandable struts extending axially from the elongate shaft;
an expandable scaffold coupled to and extending axially from the plurality of expandable struts to define a blood lumen, the expandable scaffold being non-unitary with the plurality of expandable struts and having a physical characteristic that is different than that of the plurality of expandable struts; and
an expandable impeller disposed at least partially within the expandable scaffold.
3 . The catheter blood pump of claim 2 , wherein the physical characteristic comprises a stiffness, wherein the plurality of expandable struts have a first stiffness and the expandable scaffold has a second stiffness.
4 . The catheter blood pump of claim 3 , wherein the the plurality of expandable struts are stiffer than the expandable scaffold.
5 . The catheter blood pump of claim 2 , wherein the physical characteristic comprises a dimension, wherein an aspect of the plurality of expandable struts have a first dimension and a corresponding aspect of the expandable scaffold has a second dimension.
6 . The catheter blood pump of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of expandable struts have a radial thickness greater than a radial thickenss of the expandable scaffold.
7 . The catheter blood pump of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of expandable struts have a circumferential width greater than a circumferential width of the expandable scaffold.
8 . The catheter blood pump of claim 2 , wherein the physical characteristic comprises a material, wherein the plurality of expandable struts are formed from a first material and the expandable scaffold is formed from a second material.
9 . The catheter blood pump of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of expandable struts are welded to the expandable scaffold.
10 . The catheter blood pump of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of expandable struts are disposed at an outflow of the catheter blood pump.
11 . The catheter blood pump of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of expandable struts are proximal relative to a proximal end of the blood lumen.
12 . The catheter blood pump of claim 2 , further comprising a second plurality of struts extending axially an end region of the expandable scaffold, wherein the second plurality of struts are non-unitary with the expandable scaffold.
13 . The catheter blood pump of claim 2 , further comprising a membrane disposed on the expandable scaffold.
14 . The catheter blood pump of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of expandable struts extend from a hub.
15 . A catheter blood pump, comprising:
an elongate shaft;
a plurality of expandable struts extending axially from the elongate shaft;
an expandable scaffold coupled to and extending axially from the plurality of expandable struts to define a blood lumen, the expandable scaffold being non-unitary with the plurality of expandable struts and having different stiffness than the plurality of expandable struts; and
an expandable impeller disposed at least partially within the expandable scaffold.
16 . The catheter blood pump of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of expandable struts are stiffer than the expandable scaffold.
17 . A catheter blood pump, comprising:
an elongate shaft;
a plurality of expandable struts extending axially from the elongate shaft;
an expandable scaffold coupled to and extending axially from the plurality of expandable struts to define a blood lumen, the expandable scaffold being non-unitary with the plurality of expandable struts and having a different radial dimension than the plurality of expandable struts; and
an expandable impeller disposed at least partially within the expandable scaffold.
18 . The catheter blood pump of claim 17 , wherein the plurality of expandable struts have a radial thickness greater than a radial thickenss of the expandable scaffold.
