METHODS OF TREATING IDIOPATHIC HYPERSOMNIA
The present disclosure relates to methods of treating idiopathic hypersomnia with oxybate, preferably a mixture of salts of oxybate (a mixed salt oxybate).
62 . A method of treating idiopathic hypersomnia in a patient in need thereof, the method comprising a once daily dosing regimen, the once daily regimen comprising (a) administering to an adult patient with idiopathic hypersomnia an initial daily dose of less than or equal to about 4.5 grams of oxybate; and (b) titrating the daily dose to provide a therapeutically effective amount of oxybate, wherein the maximum daily dose is about 9 grams.
63 . The method of claim 62 , wherein the initial daily dose is from about 0.5 grams to about 4.5 grams of oxybate.
64 . The method of claim 62 , wherein the initial daily dose is from about 0.5 grams to about 3 grams of oxybate.
65 . The method of claim 62 , wherein the initial daily dose is about 3 grams of oxybate.
66 . The method of claim 62 , wherein the initial daily dose is about 4.5 grams of oxybate.
67 . The method of claim 62 , wherein the titration step (b) comprises administering ascending doses of oxybate.
68 . The method of claim 67 , wherein the dose is increased by about 0.5 grams to 1.5 grams per night per week.
69 . The method of claim 62 , wherein the titration step (b) is from about 1 week to about 10 weeks.
70 . The method of claim 62 , wherein about 3 grams to about 9 g of oxybate is administered per day.
71 . The method of claim 62 , wherein about 3 grams to about 6 g of oxybate is administered per day.

A method of treating idiopathic hypersomnia in a patient in need thereof, the method comprising a twice daily dosing regimen, the twice daily regimen comprising (a) administering to an adult patient with idiopathic hypersomnia an initial daily dose of less than or equal to about 4.5 grams of oxybate divided equally or unequally into 2 doses; and (b) titrating the daily dose to provide a therapeutically effective amount of oxybate, wherein the maximum daily dose is about 9 grams divided equally or unequally into 2 doses.
78 . The method of claim 77 , wherein the initial daily dose is about 4.5 grams of oxybate.
79 . The method of claim 77 , wherein the titration step (b) comprises administering ascending doses of oxybate.
80 . The method of claim 79 , wherein the dose is increased by about 0.5 grams to 1.5 grams per night per week.
81 . The method of claim 77 , wherein the titration step (b) is from about 1 week to about 10 weeks.
82 . The method of claim 77 , wherein about 3 grams to about 9 grams of oxybate is administered per day.
