Abstract

The present specification relates to a wireless power transmission device. The present specification provides a wireless power transmission device comprising: a power supply unit for supplying power to the wireless power transmission device; at least one first coil for transmitting power to a wireless power reception device; and first and second condensers configured so as to be connected respectively to different both ends of the power supply unit and the first coil.

Claims (39)

1 . An apparatus for wireless power transfer, comprising:

a primary coil to transfer wireless power to a wireless power reception apparatus; and

a plurality of capacitors including at least a first capacitor at a first end of the primary coil and a second capacitor at a second end of the primary coil.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising:

a communication module to receive power data from the wireless power reception apparatus; and

a control circuit to generate a control signal for controlling a power source associated with the wireless power based on the power data and a measured amount of current or voltage flowing in the primary coil.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising:

a control circuit to adjust the plurality of capacitors to reduce an amount of power reflected from the primary coil to a power supply unit associated with the primary coil during wireless power transfer.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising:

a detection circuit to measure an amount of current or voltage associated with the power flowing through the primary coil, wherein the detection circuit receives power data from the wireless power reception apparatus and generates a control signal for controlling a power source based on the power data and the current or voltage flowing in the primary coil.

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the primary coil, the first capacitor, and the second capacitor collectively form a resonance antenna, and wherein a resonance frequency of the resonance antenna is based on an inductance of the primary coil and capacitances of the first and second capacitors.

6 . The apparatus of claim 5 , further comprising:

an impedance matcher to detect a reflected signal of the power transmitted by the primary coil and control a connection state of the first and second capacitors based on the reflected signal.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising:

third and fourth capacitors, disposed at both ends of a detection circuit or the primary coil, that supply measurement signals from the primary coil to the detection circuit, wherein the primary coil, the first and second capacitors, and the third and fourth capacitors form a resonance antenna, and wherein a resonance frequency of the resonance antenna is based, at least in part on capacitances of the third and fourth capacitors.

8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , further comprising:

an impedance matcher to detect a reflected signal of the power transmitted by the primary coil and control a connection state of the first, second, third, or fourth capacitors based on the reflected signal.

9 . The apparatus of claim 7 , further comprising first and second grounds connected to both ends of the primary coil.

10 . The apparatus of claim 9 , further comprising:

a fifth capacitor connected between the primary coil and the first ground; and

a sixth capacitor connected between the primary coil and the second ground.

11 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the fifth and sixth capacitors reduce noise due to a voltage applied to the first and second capacitors.

12 . A method for wireless power transfer, comprising:

connecting a plurality of capacitors including at least a first capacitor connected to a first end of a primary coil and a second capacitor connected to a second end of the primary coil;

transferring, via the primary coil, wireless power to a wireless power reception apparatus; receiving power data from the wireless power reception apparatus; and

generating a control signal for controlling a power source associated with the wireless power based on the power data and a measured amount of current or voltage flowing in the primary coil.

13 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising:

adjusting the plurality of capacitors to reduce an amount of power reflected from the primary coil to a power supply unit associated with the primary coil during wireless power transfer.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the primary coil and the first and second capacitors form a resonance antenna, and wherein a resonance frequency of the resonance antenna is based on an inductance of the primary coil and capacitances of the first and second capacitors, wherein the resonance frequency of the resonance antenna is based, at least in part, on capacitances of a third and a fourth capacitor.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein first and second grounds are connected to both ends of the primary coil, a fifth capacitor is connected between the primary coil and a first ground, and a sixth capacitor is connected between the primary coil and a second ground.

16 . A system for wireless power transfer, comprising:

means for transferring wireless power to a wireless power reception apparatus via a primary coil; and

a plurality of capacitors including at least a first capacitor at a first end of the primary coil and a second capacitor at a second end of the primary coil.

17 . The system of claim 16 , further comprising:

means for receiving power data from the wireless power reception apparatus; and

means for controlling a power source associated with the wireless power based on the power data and a measured amount of current or voltage flowing in the primary coil.

18 . The system of claim 16 , further comprising:

means for measuring a current or voltage associated with power flowing through the primary coil; and

means for controlling a connection state of the first capacitor and the second capacitor to reduce an amount of power reflected from the primary coil to a power supply unit associated with the primary coil during wireless power transfer.
