Abstract

Disclosed are compositions comprising a MSC secretome preparation and cannabinoids and methods of the use of said compositions for the treatment of inflammatory conditions.

Claims (26)

9 . A composition comprising:

i) an extracellular vesicle preparation; and

ii) a cannabinoid.

10 . The composition of claim 9 , wherein the extracellular vesicle preparation is present in the composition at about 0.01 to about 10% by weight.

11 . The composition of claim 9 , wherein the extracellular vesicle preparation comprises a cryoprotectant oligosaccharide.

12 . The composition of claim 9 , wherein the extracellular vesicle is secreted from a cell comprising a protein, and wherein the extracellular vesicle comprises the protein.

13 . The composition of claim 9 , wherein the extracellular vesicle is secreted from a cell comprising a microRNA, and wherein the extracellular vesicle comprises the microRNA.

The composition of claim 9 , wherein the extracellular vesicle preparation comprises one or more of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1), hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), stromal cell derived factor-1 (SDF-1), indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase, interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-10 (IL-10), IL-1 receptor antagonist, soluble TNF-a receptor, insulin-like growth factor, fibroblast growth factor-1 (FGF1), fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF2), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1), bone morphogenetic protein (BMP), bone morphogenetic protein 5 (BMP5), epidermal growth factor (EGF), transforming growth factor-a (TGF-a), macrophage-stimulating protein (MSP), platelet derived growth factor (PDGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF), granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF), or granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF), or a combination of two or more thereof.

15 . The composition of claim 14 , wherein the extracellular vesicle preparation comprises the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), the interleukin-6 (IL-6), the epidermal growth factor (EGF), the macrophage-stimulating protein (MSP), and the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).

16 . The composition of claim 14 , wherein the extracellular vesicle preparation comprises the insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) and the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).

17 . The composition of claim 9 , wherein the cannabinoid is cannabidiol (CBD) or cannabigerol (CBG).

18 . The composition of claim 9 , wherein the extracellular vesicle is obtained from a stromal cell.

19 . The composition of claim 18 , wherein the stromal cell is a mesenchymal stem cell (MSC).

20 . The composition of claim 19 , wherein the MSC is a bone marrow-derived MSC (bmMSC).

21 . The composition of claim 9 , wherein the extracellular vesicle preparation further comprises a cryoprotectant oligosaccharide and/or a biocompatible polymer.

22 . A composition comprising:

i) a mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) secretome preparation; and

ii) a cannabinoid;

wherein the MSC secretome preparation comprises one or more of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1), hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), stromal cell derived factor-1 (SDF-1), indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase, interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-10 (IL-10), IL-1 receptor antagonist, soluble TNF-a receptor, insulin-like growth factor, fibroblast growth factor-1 (FGF1), fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF2), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1), bone morphogenetic protein (BMP), bone morphogenetic protein 5 (BMP5), epidermal growth factor (EGF), transforming growth factor-a (TGF-a), macrophage-stimulating protein (MSP), platelet derived growth factor (PDGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF), granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF), or granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF), or a combination of two or more thereof.

23 . The composition of claim 22 , wherein the MSC secretome preparation comprises the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), the interleukin-6 (IL-6), the epidermal growth factor (EGF), the macrophage-stimulating protein (MSP), and the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).

24 . The composition of claim 22 , wherein the MSC secretome preparation comprises the insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) and the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).

25 . The composition of claim 22 , wherein the cannabinoid is cannabidiol (CBD) or cannabigerol (CBG).

26 . The composition of claim 22 , wherein the MSC is a bone marrow-derived MSC (bmMSC).

27 . The composition of claim 22 , wherein the MSC secretome preparation comprises about 0.01% to about 10% by weight extracellular vesicles.

28 . The composition of claim 22 , wherein the composition further comprises saline.
