Abstract

Systems, devices, and techniques for adjusting a user equipment (UE) processing time parameter in a wireless communication system that include transmission and reception points (TRPs) are described. A described technique performed by UE includes receiving a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) from a first TRP corresponding to a first scheduling physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and a second PDSCH from a second TRP corresponding to a second scheduling PDCCH. The technique further includes transmitting a first hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) message and a second HARQ-ACK message based on the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH in accordance with a first processing time parameter and a second processing time parameter, respectively. The first processing time parameter can be based on a PDSCH mapping type, a processing capability of the UE, and one or more timing characteristics of the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH.

Claims (31)

1 . A method comprising:

receiving a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) from a first transmission and reception point (TRP) and a second PDSCH from a second TRP, wherein the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH overlap at least partially in time and correspond to different physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs); and

transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) message in accordance with a processing time parameter,

wherein the processing time parameter is based at least in part on a PDSCH mapping type, a processing capability of a user equipment (UE), and whether the first PDSCH is longer than seven symbols.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first PDSCH ends earlier in time than the second PDSCH, and the processing time parameter is based on a relative difference in durations of the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the processing time parameter is based on a number of overlapping symbols of the first PDSCH and a first PDCCH scheduling the first PDSCH.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the processing time parameter is based on a number of overlapping symbols of the second PDSCH and a second PDCCH scheduling the second PDSCH.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH are fully overlapped.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the processing time parameter is based on a number of symbols allocated to the first PDSCH.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the processing time parameter is adjusted based on whether the second PDSCH is longer than seven symbols.

8 . An apparatus comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

receiving a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) from a first transmission and reception point (TRP) and a second PDSCH from a second TRP, wherein the first PDSCH corresponds to a first scheduling physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and the second PDSCH corresponds to a second scheduling PDCCH, and wherein the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH overlap at least partially in time; and

transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) message in accordance with a processing time parameter, wherein the processing time parameter is based at least in part on a number of overlapping symbols of the first scheduling PDCCH and the corresponding first PDSCH.

9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the first PDSCH ends earlier in time than the second PDSCH, and the processing time parameter is based on a relative difference in durations of the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH.

10 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processing time parameter is based on a number of overlapping symbols of the second PDSCH and the corresponding second PDCCH.

11 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH are fully overlapped.

12 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processing time parameter is based on a number of symbols allocated to the first PDSCH.

13 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processing time parameter is based on a PDSCH mapping type, a processing capability of a user equipment (UE), and wherein the processing time parameter is adjusted based on whether the first PDSCH is longer than seven symbols.

14 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the processing time parameter is adjusted based on whether the second PDSCH is longer than seven symbols.

15 . A system comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

transmitting a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) corresponding to a first transmission and reception point (TRP), wherein the first PDSCH overlap at least partially in time with a second PDSCH corresponding to a second TRP, and wherein the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH correspond to different physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs); and

receiving a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) message from a user equipment (UE), wherein the HARQ-ACK message is generated in accordance with a processing time parameter that is based at least in part on a PDSCH mapping type, a processing capability of the UE, and whether the first PDSCH is longer than seven symbols.

16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the first PDSCH ends earlier in time than the second PDSCH, and the processing time parameter is based on a relative difference in durations of the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH.

17 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the processing time parameter is based on a number of overlapping symbols of the first PDSCH and a first PDCCH scheduling the first PDSCH.

18 . The system of claim 17 , wherein the processing time parameter is based on a number of overlapping symbols of the second PDSCH and a second PDCCH scheduling the second PDSCH.

19 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the processing time parameter is based on a number of symbols allocated to the first PDSCH.

20 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the processing time parameter is adjusted based on whether the second PDSCH is longer than seven symbols.
