Fiber Reinforced Polymer Building Systems and Methods
A pultrusion fiber reinforced polymer (PFRP) structural frame assembly comprises a plurality of PFRP vertical columns, comprising at least one PFRP I-beam vertical column or PFRP wide flange vertical column; a plurality of PFRP horizontal beams, comprising at least one PFRP I-beam horizontal beam or PFRP wide flange horizontal beam; and at least one PFRP clip angle bracket configured to connect the at least one PFRP I-beam vertical column or PFRP wide flange vertical column to the at least one PFRP I-beam horizontal beam or PFRP wide flange horizontal beam.
1 . A pultrusion fiber reinforced polymer (PFRP) structural frame assembly, comprising:
a plurality of PFRP vertical columns, comprising at least one PFRP I-beam vertical column or PFRP wide flange vertical column;
a plurality of PFRP horizontal beams, comprising at least one PFRP I-beam horizontal beam or PFRP wide flange horizontal beam; and
at least one PFRP clip angle bracket configured to connect the at least one PFRP I-beam vertical column or PFRP wide flange vertical column to the at least one PFRP I-beam horizontal beam or PFRP wide flange horizontal beam.

The PFRP structural frame assembly recited in claim 1 , wherein a flexible epoxy bonds the at least one PFRP I-beam vertical column or PFRP wide flange vertical column to the at least one PFRP I-beam horizontal beam or PFRP wide flange horizontal beam; the flexible epoxy being configured to provide a uniform coefficient of thermal expansion throughout the PFRP structural frame assembly.
3 . The PFRP structural frame assembly recited in claim 1 , wherein the plurality of PFRP vertical columns is configured to provide structural support to a roof assembly.
4 . The PFRP structural frame assembly recited in claim 1 , wherein the plurality of PFRP vertical columns is configured to transfer a roof load to a concrete foundation.
5 . The PFRP structural frame assembly recited in claim 1 , further comprising PFRP wall sheeting attached to the plurality of PFRP vertical columns or the plurality of PFRP horizontal beams.
6 . The PFRP structural frame assembly recited in claim 5 , wherein an intumescent fire-resistant coating is applied to the wall sheeting.
7 . The PFRP structural frame assembly recited in claim 1 , further configured to be attached to a PFRP floor assembly with at least one PFRP clip angle bracket.
8 . The PFRP structural frame assembly recited in claim 1 , wherein the at least one PFRP clip angle bracket employs PFRP bolts to connect the at least one PFRP I-beam vertical column or PFRP wide flange vertical column to the at least one PFRP I-beam horizontal beam or PFRP wide flange horizontal beam.
9 . A method of constructing a pultrusion fiber reinforced polymer (PFRP) structural frame assembly, comprising:
provisioning a plurality of PFRP vertical columns, comprising at least one PFRP I-beam vertical column or PFRP wide flange vertical column;
provisioning a plurality of PFRP horizontal beams, comprising at least one PFRP I-beam horizontal beam or PFRP wide flange horizontal beam; and
employing at least one PFRP clip angle bracket to connect the at least one PFRP I-beam vertical column or PFRP wide flange vertical column to the at least one PFRP I-beam horizontal beam or PFRP wide flange horizontal beam.
10 . The method recited in claim 9 , further comprising employing a flexible epoxy to bond the at least one PFRP I-beam vertical column or PFRP wide flange vertical column to the at least one PFRP I-beam horizontal beam or PFRP wide flange horizontal beam; the flexible epoxy being configured to provide a uniform coefficient of thermal expansion throughout the PFRP structural frame assembly.
11 . The method recited in claim 9 , wherein the plurality of PFRP vertical columns is configured to provide structural support to a roof assembly.
12 . The method recited in claim 9 , wherein the plurality of PFRP vertical columns is configured to transfer a roof load to a concrete foundation.
13 . The method recited in claim 9 , further comprising attaching PFRP wall sheeting to the plurality of PFRP vertical columns or the plurality of PFRP horizontal beams.
14 . The method recited in claim 13 , further comprising applying an intumescent fire-resistant coating to the wall sheeting.
15 . The method recited in claim 9 , further comprising configuring the plurality of PFRP vertical columns to be attached to a PFRP floor assembly with at least one PFRP clip angle bracket.
16 . The method recited in claim 9 , further comprising employing PFRP bolts with the at least one PFRP clip angle bracket to connect the at least one PFRP I-beam vertical column or PFRP wide flange vertical column to the at least one PFRP I-beam horizontal beam or PFRP wide flange horizontal beam.
