GAMING SYSTEM WITH SOCIAL AWARD
In one embodiment, a system, apparatus, and method for social gaming includes at least one gaming machine configured to play a game of chance and produce game information and a social gaming server configured to: communicate with the at least one gaming machine; establish a remote gaming session between the gaming machine and at least one user device; and distribute at least a portion of the game information to the at least one user device.
1 . A social gaming system, comprising:
at least one gaming machine configured to present a game of chance; and
a social gaming server configured to:
communicate with the at least one gaming machine;
detect, from the at least one gaming machine, an invitation for participation in the game of chance; and
transmit game data to a user device corresponding to the invitation, the game data configured to be processed to present, at the user device, a reproduction of at least a portion of the game of chance as presented at the at least one gaming machine.
2 . The social gaming system of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting of the game data to the user device includes one or more of: streaming the game data, emailing the game data, or a combination thereof.
3 . The social gaming system of claim 1 , the social gaming server further configured to:
transmit further game data to the at least one gaming machine, the further game data configured to be processed to present, at the at least one gaming machine, a reproduction of at least a further portion of the game of chance as presented at the user device.
4 . The social gaming system of claim 1 , the social gaming server further configured to:
transmit the invitation to the user device; and
detect, from the user device, an acceptance of the invitation.
5 . The social gaming system of claim 4 , the social gaming server further configured to:
transmit the acceptance of the invitation to the at least one gaming machine.
6 . The social gaming system of claim 4 , wherein the invitation includes one or more of: an invitation to accept or reject a bonus game feature, a designated period of time to accept or reject the invitation, an identification of a type of bonus game feature, an identification of a type of the game of chance, a name of a user, or a combination thereof.
7 . The social gaming system of claim 1 , the social gaming server further configured to:
facilitate communications between the at least one gaming machine and the user device, the communications providing social play of the game of chance at the at least one gaming machine and the user device.
8 . The social gaming system of claim 1 , the social gaming server further configured to:
process an identification from the at least one gaming machine of at least one distribution method for a bonus game award, the at least one distribution method allocating the bonus game award between the at least one gaming machine and the user device.
9 . The social gaming system of claim 1 , wherein the portion of the game of chance includes a bonus game feature.
10 . A social gaming method, comprising:
communicating, by a social gaming server, with at least one gaming machine configured to present a game of chance;
detecting, by the social gaming server from the at least one gaming machine, an invitation for participation in the game of chance; and
transmitting game data to a user device corresponding to the invitation, the game data configured to be processed to present, at the user device, a reproduction of at least a portion of the game of chance as presented at the at least one gaming machine.
11 . The social gaming method of claim 10 , wherein the transmitting of the game data to the user device includes one or more of: streaming the game data, emailing the game data, or a combination thereof.
12 . The social gaming method of claim 10 , further comprising:
transmitting further game data to the at least one gaming machine, the further game data configured to be processed to present, at the at least one gaming machine, a reproduction of at least a further portion of the game of chance as presented at the user device.
13 . The social gaming method of claim 10 , further comprising:
transmitting the invitation to the user device; and
detecting, from the user device, an acceptance of the invitation.
14 . The social gaming method of claim 13 , further comprising:
transmitting the acceptance of the invitation to the at least one gaming machine.
15 . The social gaming method of claim 13 , wherein the invitation includes one or more of: an invitation to accept or reject a bonus game feature, a designated period of time to accept or reject the invitation, an identification of a type of bonus game feature, an identification of a type of the game of chance, a name of a user, or a combination thereof.
16 . The social gaming method of claim 10 , further comprising:
facilitating communications between the at least one gaming machine and the user device, the communications providing social play of the game of chance at the at least one gaming machine and the user device.
17 . The social gaming method of claim 10 , further comprising:
processing an identification from the at least one gaming machine of at least one distribution method for a bonus game award, the at least one distribution method allocating the bonus game award between the at least one gaming machine and the user device.
18 . The social gaming method of claim 10 , wherein the portion of the game of chance includes a bonus game feature.
