Abstract

Methods and devices for transmitting and receiving a random access response includes a transmitter configured to transmit a first message (MsgA) of a two-step random access procedure to a network device, the first message (MsgA) comprises a preamble and data; and a processor configured to control to perform to monitor, in a first random access response reception time window, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a first random access response in a two-step random access procedure transmitted by the network device, the first random access response including a C-RNTI and contention resolution information, wherein the processor is further configured to control to perform to monitor, in the first random access response reception time window, the PDCCH scheduling a second random access response transmitted by the network device, the second random access response including a TC-RNTI and an uplink resource grant used for transmitting a third message.

Claims (49)

1 . A terminal equipment comprising:

a transmitter configured to transmit a first message (MsgA) of a two-step random access procedure to a network device, the first message (MsgA) comprises a preamble and data; and

a processor configured to control to perform to monitor, in a first random access response reception time window, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a first random access response in a two-step random access procedure transmitted by the network device, the first random access response including a C-RNTI and contention resolution information, wherein

the processor is further configured to control to perform to monitor, in the first random access response reception time window, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a second random access response transmitted by the network device, the second random access response including a TC-RNTI and an uplink resource grant used for transmitting a third message (Msg 3 ) by the terminal equipment, and

when the terminal equipment receives the first random access response in the first random access response reception time window, the processor stops monitoring:

the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the first random access response, and

the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the second random access response.

2 . The terminal equipment according to claim 1 , wherein the third message (Msg 3 ) is a message of a four-step random access.

3 . The terminal equipment according to claim 1 , wherein,

the first random access response reception time window comprises a first sub-time window and a second sub-time window,

the processor controls to perform to monitor, in the first sub-time window, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a first part of the first random access response,

the processor controls to perform to monitor, in the second sub time window, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a second part of the first random access response, and

the first part includes the C-RNTI allocated for the terminal equipment, and the second part includes the contention resolution information.

4 . The terminal equipment according to claim 3 , wherein, the processor control to perform to monitor, in the first sub-time window, the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the second random access response.

5 . The terminal equipment according to claim 3 , wherein,

the data is transmitted on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH),

the C-RNTI is a RNTI allocated for the terminal equipment, and

the TC-RNTI is a RNTI allocated for the terminal equipment.

6 . The terminal equipment according to claim 1 , wherein

when the terminal equipment receives the second random access response in the first random access response reception time window, the processor stops monitoring:

the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the first random access response, and

the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the second random access response.

7 . A network device comprising:

a processor;

a transmitter configured to transmit indication information indicating a length of a first random access response reception time window to a terminal equipment; and

a receiver configured to receive a first message (MsgA) of a two-step random access procedure to a network device, the first message (MsgA) comprises a preamble and data, wherein

the first random access response reception time window being used by the terminal equipment in monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a first random access response in a two-step random access procedure, the first random access response includes a C-RNTI and contention resolution information, and

the first random access response reception time window is further used by the terminal equipment in monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a second random access response transmitted by the network device, the second random access response includes a TC-RNTI (Temporary C-RNTI) t and an uplink resource grant used for transmitting a third message (Msg 3 ) by the terminal equipment, and

the processor is further configured to cause the terminal equipment to stop, by transmitting the first random access response in the first random access response reception time window, monitoring:

the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the first random access response, and

the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the second random access response.

8 . The network device according to claim 7 , wherein the receiver receives the third message (Msg 3 ) which is a message of a four-step random access.

9 . The network device according to claim 7 , wherein,

the C-RNTI is a RNTI allocated for the terminal equipment, and

the TC-RNTI is a RNTI allocated for the terminal equipment.

10 . The network device according to claim 7 , wherein, the transmitter configured to transmit, in the first random access response reception time window, the PDCCH scheduling the first random access response.

11 . The network device according to claim 7 , wherein, the transmitter configured to transmit, in the first random access response reception time window, the PDCCH scheduling the second random access response.

12 . The network device according to claim 11 , wherein, the receiver configured to receive the third message (Msg 3 ) which is transmitted by the terminal equipment using the uplink resource grant included in the second random access response.

13 . The network device according to claim 7 , wherein,

the processor is further configured to cause the terminal equipment to stop, by transmitting the second random access response in the first random access response reception time window, monitoring:

the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the first random access response, and

the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the second random access response.

14 . A terminal equipment comprising:

a receiver configured to receive indication information indicating a length of a first random access response reception time window;

a transmitter configured to transmit a first message (MsgA) of a two-step random access procedure to a network device, the first message (MsgA) comprises a preamble and data; and

a processor configured to control to perform a monitoring, in the first random access response reception time window, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a first random access response in a two-step random access procedure and a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a second random access response via the receiver, the first random access response including a C-RNTI and contention resolution information, the second random access response including a TC-RNTI and an uplink resource grant used for transmitting a third message (Msg 3 ) by the terminal equipment, wherein

a processor configured to control, when the receiver receives the first random access response in the first random access response reception time window, to stop the monitoring via the receiver:

the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the first random access response, and

the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling the second random access response.
