Abstract

Systems, methods, and computer-readable mediums for modifying, by an artificial intelligence engine, a treatment plan for optimizing patient outcome and pain levels during treatment sessions. The system includes, in one implementation, a treatment apparatus, a patient interface, and a computing device. The treatment apparatus is configured to be manipulated by a patient while the patient performs the treatment sessions. The computing device is configured to receive the treatment plan for the patient and treatment data pertaining to the patient. The computing device is also configured to receive patient input from the patient interface correlating with the pain levels of the patient. The computing device is further configured to use the treatment plan, the treatment data, and the patient input to generate at least one threshold. Responsive to an occurrence of exceeding the at least one threshold, the computing device is configured to modify the treatment plan.

Claims (46)

1 . A computer-implemented system, comprising:

an interface comprising an input device, the input device configured to receive user input associated with at least one pain level of a user during one or more exercise sessions; and

a computing device configured to:

receive data pertaining to the user and the user input;

use the data and the input to generate at least one threshold;

responsive to an occurrence of exceeding the at least one threshold, use an artificial intelligence engine to modify a treatment plan, wherein the treatment plan comprises one or more exercise routines for the user to complete on an electromechanical machine during the one or more exercise sessions; and

based on the modified treatment plan, control, using the artificial intelligence engine, the electromechanical machine configured to be manipulated by the user while the user performs the one or more exercise sessions.

2 . The computer-implemented system of claim 1 , wherein the data comprises at least one of characteristics of the user and measurement information pertaining to the user while the user uses the electromechanical machine.

3 . The computer-implemented system of claim 1 , wherein electromechanical machine comprises a cycling machine.

4 . The computer-implemented system of claim 1 , wherein the computing device is further configured to control, based on the modified treatment plan, the electromechanical machine while the user uses the electromechanical machine during a telemedicine session.

5 . The computer-implemented system of claim 1 , wherein the computing device is further configured to:

receive modified user input from the interface correlating with an updated pain level of the user;

use the modified treatment plan, the data, and the modified input to generate at least one modified threshold; and

responsive to an occurrence of exceeding the at least one modified threshold, modify the modified treatment plan.

6 . The computer-implemented system of claim 1 , wherein, to modify the treatment plan, the computing device is further configured to generate at least one updated exercise routine during one of the one or more exercise sessions.

7 . A method for modifying, by an artificial intelligence engine, a treatment plan for optimizing user outcome and pain levels during one or more exercise sessions, the method comprising:

receiving data pertaining to the user;

receiving user input associated with at least one of the pain levels of the user;

using the data and the user input to generate at least one threshold;

responsive to an occurrence of exceeding the at least one threshold, using the artificial intelligence engine to modify the treatment plan, wherein the treatment plan comprises one or more exercise routines for the user to complete on an electromechanical machine during the one or more exercise sessions; and

based on the modified treatment plan, controlling, using the artificial intelligence engine, the electromechanical machine configured to be manipulated by the user while the user performs the one or more exercise sessions.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the data comprises at least one of characteristics of the user.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the data comprises at least one of the characteristics of the user and measurement information pertaining to the user while the user uses the electromechanical machine.

10 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the electromechanical machine comprises a cycling machine.

11 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising controlling, based on the modified treatment plan, the electromechanical machine while the user uses the electromechanical machine during a telemedicine session.

12 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

receiving modified user input correlating with an updated pain level of the user;

using the modified treatment plan, the data, and the modified user input to generate at least one modified threshold; and

responsive to an occurrence of exceeding the at least one modified threshold, using the artificial intelligence engine to modify the modified treatment plan.

13 . The method of claim 7 , wherein modifying the plan comprises generating at least one updated exercise routine during one of the one or more exercise sessions.

14 . The method of claim 7 , wherein:

at least one of the data and the user input is received in real-time or near real-time, and wherein the treatment plan is modified in real-time or near real-time.

15 . A tangible, non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause a processing device to:

receive data pertaining to a user;

receive user input associated with at least one pain level of the user during one or more exercise sessions;

use the data and the user input to generate at least one threshold;

responsive to an occurrence of exceeding the at least one threshold, use an artificial intelligence engine to modify a treatment plan, wherein the treatment plan comprises one or more exercise routines for the user to complete on an electromechanical machine during one or more exercise sessions; and

based on the modified plan, control, using the artificial intelligence engine, the electromechanical machine configured to be manipulated by the user while the user performs the one or more exercise sessions.

16 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the data comprises at least one of characteristics of the user.

17 . The computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the data comprises at least the one of characteristics of the user and measurement information pertaining to the user while the user uses the electromechanical machine.

18 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the electromechanical machine comprises a cycling machine.

19 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the processing device is further configured to control, based on the modified plan, the electromechanical machine while the user uses the electromechanical machine during a telemedicine session.

20 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the processing device is further configured to:

receive modified user input correlating with an updated pain level of the user;

use the modified treatment plan, the data, and the modified user input to generate at least one modified threshold; and

responsive to an occurrence of exceeding the at least one modified threshold, use the artificial intelligence engine to modify the modified treatment plan.
