Power Control for Frequency Range Switching
A base station transmits, to a wireless device, a control message indicating to switch from a first frequency range for a cell to a second frequency range for the cell. The base station receives, from the wireless device via the second frequency range, at least one uplink signal. A value of a power control parameter used for a transmission power of the at least one uplink signal is maintained based on the second frequency range overlapping with the first frequency range.
1 . A method comprising:
transmitting, by a base station to a wireless device, a control message indicating to switch from a first frequency range for a cell to a second frequency range for the cell; and
receiving, from the wireless device via the second frequency range, at least one uplink signal, wherein a value of a power control parameter used for a transmission power of the at least one uplink signal is maintained based on the second frequency range overlapping with the first frequency range.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a first common search space (CSS) of the first frequency range is the same as, or at least partially overlaps, a second CSS of the second frequency range.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, before the transmitting the control message and via the first frequency range, at least one first uplink signal, wherein:
the at least one uplink signal received via the second frequency range is a second uplink signal; and
both the at least one first uplink signal and the at least one second uplink signal are transmitted using the value of the power control parameter.

The method of claim 3 , further comprising receiving, from the wireless device via the second frequency range, at least one third uplink signal, wherein the value of the power control parameter used for the transmission power of the at least one third uplink signal is reset based on the third frequency range not overlapping with the first frequency range and/or the second frequency range.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmission power for transmitting the at least one uplink signal is based on applying the value of the power control parameter from the first frequency range to the second frequency range.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmission power is for at least one of:
a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH);
a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH); or
a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one uplink signal comprises one or more transport blocks.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the value of the power control parameter is maintained based on the second frequency range overlapping with the first frequency.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the power control parameter is a pathloss estimate of one or more reference signals associated with the second frequency range.
10 . A base station comprising:
one or more processors; and
memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to:
transmit, to a wireless device, a control message indicating to switch from a first frequency range for a cell to a second frequency range for the cell; and
receive, from the wireless device via the second frequency range, at least one uplink signal, wherein a value of a power control parameter used for a transmission power of the at least one uplink signal is maintained based on the second frequency range overlapping with the first frequency range.
11 . The base station of claim 10 , wherein a first common search space (CSS) of the first frequency range is the same as, or at least partially overlaps, a second CSS of the second frequency range.
12 . The base station of claim 10 , wherein the instructions further cause the base station to:
receive, before the transmitting the control message and via the first frequency range, at least one first uplink signal, wherein:
the at least one uplink signal received via the second frequency range is a second uplink signal; and
both the at least one first uplink signal and the at least one second uplink signal are transmitted using the value of the power control parameter.
13 . The base station of claim 12 , wherein the instructions further cause the base station to receive, from the wireless device via the second frequency range, at least one third uplink signal, wherein the value of the power control parameter used for the transmission power of the at least one third uplink signal is reset based on the third frequency range not overlapping with the first frequency range and/or the second frequency range.
14 . The base station of claim 10 , wherein the transmission power for transmitting the at least one uplink signal is based on applying the value of the power control parameter from the first frequency range to the second frequency range.
15 . The base station of claim 10 , wherein the transmission power is for at least one of:
a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH);
a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH); or
a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission.
16 . The base station of claim 10 , wherein the at least one uplink signal comprises one or more transport blocks.
17 . The base station of claim 10 , wherein the value of the power control parameter is maintained based on the second frequency range overlapping with the first frequency.
18 . The base station of claim 10 , wherein the power control parameter is a pathloss estimate of one or more reference signals associated with the second frequency range.
19 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a base station, cause the base station to:
transmit, to a wireless device, a control message indicating to switch from a first frequency range for a cell to a second frequency range for the cell; and
receive, from the wireless device via the second frequency range, at least one uplink signal, wherein a value of a power control parameter used for a transmission power of the at least one uplink signal is maintained based on the second frequency range overlapping with the first frequency range.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the instructions further cause the base station to:
receive, before the transmitting the control message and via the first frequency range, at least one first uplink signal, wherein:
the at least one uplink signal received via the second frequency range is a second uplink signal; and
both the at least one first uplink signal and the at least one second uplink signal are transmitted using the value of the power control parameter.
