Abstract

A copolymer including a structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 1, and a structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 2: wherein in Chemical Formula 1 and Chemical Formula 2, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 , L 1 , A 1 , A 4 , *, and * 2 are the same as defined herein.

Claims (70)

1 . A copolymer comprising a structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 1, and a structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 2:

wherein, in Chemical Formula 1,

A 1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 60 ring-forming atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaromatic ring group having 3 to 60 ring-forming atoms, or a group represented by Chemical Formula 3,

L 1 is a single bond, or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 60 ring-forming atoms,

R 1 to R 4 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 30 ring-forming atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted ethylene glycol group or oligoethylene glycol group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms,

wherein, R 1 and R 2 are optionally bonded with each other to form a ring, or R 3 and R 4 are optionally bonded with each other to form a ring,

R 5 to R 8 are each independently a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, and

* is a bonding position with another atom,

wherein, in Chemical Formula 3,

A 2 and A 3 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 30 ring-forming atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaromatic ring group having 3 to 30 ring-forming atoms, and

* 3 is a bonding position with another atom,

wherein, in Chemical Formula 2,

A 4 is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 60 ring-forming atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaromatic ring group having 3 to 60 ring-forming atoms, and

* 2 is a bonding position with another atom.

2 . The copolymer of claim 1 , wherein the copolymer comprises a structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 4:

wherein, in Chemical Formula 4,

A 1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 60 ring-forming atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaromatic ring group having 3 to 60 ring-forming atoms, or a group represented by Chemical Formula 3,

L 1 is a single bond, or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 60 ring-forming atoms,

R 1 to R 4 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 30 ring-forming atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted ethylene glycol group or oligoethylene glycol group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms,

wherein, R 1 and R 2 are optionally bonded with each other to form a ring, or R 3 and R 4 are optionally bonded with each other to form a ring,

R 5 to R 8 are each independently a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms,

A 4 is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 60 ring-forming atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaromatic ring group having 3 to 60 ring-forming atoms, and

* is a bonding position with another atom,

wherein, in Chemical Formula 3,

A 2 and A 3 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 30 ring-forming atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaromatic ring group having 3 to 30 ring-forming atoms, and

* 3 is a bonding position with another atom.

3 . The copolymer of claim 1 , wherein L 1 is a group represented by Chemical Formula 5 or Chemical Formula 6:

wherein, in Chemical Formula 5 and Chemical Formula 6,

R 9 to R 11 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 30 ring-forming atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, and

* 5 and * 6 are a bonding position with another atom.

4 . The copolymer of claim 1 , wherein L 1 is represented by one of Group 2:

wherein, in Group 2, * 5 and * 6 are each a bonding position with another atom.

5 . The copolymer of claim 1 , wherein A 1 is a group represented by Chemical Formula 7:

wherein, in Chemical Formula 7,

R 12 and R 13 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 30 ring-forming atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms,

X represents *′-C(R 14 )(R 15 )—*′, *′-N(R 16 )—*′, *′-O—*′, or *′-S—*′,

wherein R 14 and R 15 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or R 14 and R 15 are optionally bonded to each other to form a ring structure,

R 16 is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 30 ring-forming atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms,

*′ is a bonding position with another atom, and

* 7 is a bonding position with another atom.

6 . The copolymer of claim 1 , wherein A 1 is represented by one of Group 1:

wherein, in Group 1,

* 7 is a bonding position with L 1 in Chemical Formula 1.

7 . The copolymer of claim 1 , wherein A 1 is a group represented by Chemical Formula 3.

8 . The copolymer of claim 1 , wherein Chemical Formula 2 is represented by one of Group 4:

wherein, in Group 4, * 2 is a bonding position with another atom.

9 . The copolymer of claim 1 , wherein the structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 2 comprises a structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 2′:

wherein, in Chemical Formula 2′,

A 5 is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 60 ring-forming atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaromatic ring group having 3 to 60 ring-forming atoms,

L 2 is a single bond, a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring group having 6 to 30 ring-forming atoms,

Q is a crosslinkable group,

p is an integer of greater than or equal to 1, and

* 2 ′ is a bonding position with another atom.

10 . The copolymer of claim 9 , wherein Chemical Formula 2′ comprises a structural unit represented by one of Group 5:

wherein, in Group 5,

Z 1 and Z 2 are each independently a group represented by * a3 -L 2 Q wherein * a3 is a bonding position with another atom, L 2 and Q are each the same as defined in Chemical Formula 2′, and * 2 ′ is a binding site that forms a main chain.

11 . The copolymer of claim 9 , wherein Q is represented by one of Group 6:

wherein, in Group 6,

R 11 to R 17 are each independently a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms,

L 3 and L 4 each independently represent * a5 —(CH 2 ) q —* a5 , wherein q is an integer of 1 to 10, and * a5 is a bonding position with another atom, and

* a4 is a bonding position with another atom.

12 . The copolymer of claim 1 , wherein the copolymer comprises at least one structural unit represented by Group 7:

13 . A composition comprising the copolymer of claim 1 , and at least one material that is a hole transport material, an electron transport material, or a light emitting material.

14 . A composition comprising the copolymer of claim 1 , and at least one solvent.

15 . An electroluminescent device comprising a pair of electrodes, and at least one organic layer comprising the copolymer of claim 1 , wherein the at least one organic layer is disposed between the pair of electrodes.

16 . An electroluminescent device comprising a pair of electrodes and at least one organic layer comprising the composition of claim 13 disposed between the pair of electrodes.

17 . The electroluminescent device of claim 15 , wherein the at least one organic layer comprises a hole transport layer.

18 . The electroluminescent device of claim 15 , further comprising a layer comprising a plurality of quantum dots disposed between the pair of electrodes, wherein the plurality of quantum dots comprises an inorganic nanoparticle.

19 . The electroluminescent device of claim 18 , wherein the layer comprising the plurality of quantum dots is a light emitting layer, and the light emitting layer is disposed on the at least one organic layer.

20 . The electroluminescent device of claim 15 , wherein the at least one organic layer comprises at least one of Copolymer 1 to Copolymer 18:
