METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ORDERING STATUS INFORMATION REPORTED IN A MEDIUM ACCESS CONTROL CONTROL ELEMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
Provided are techniques for ordering status information reported in a medium access control control element (MAC CE). A user equipment (UE) transmits a MAC protocol data unit (PDU) in response to a first-type status report being triggered. The MAC PDU comprises at least a first MAC CE that indicates a plurality of data volume information. The plurality of data volume information corresponds to a plurality of first objects, respectively. The plurality of data volume information are sorted in the first MAC CE in an ascending order of respective temporal information of the plurality of first objects corresponding to the plurality of data volume information.

12 . A user equipment (UE), comprising:
a transmitter configured to transmit a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) in response to a first-type status report being triggered, wherein the MAC PDU comprises at least a first MAC control element (MAC CE) that indicates a plurality of data volume information, wherein the plurality of data volume information corresponds to a plurality of first objects, respectively, wherein the plurality of data volume information are sorted in the first MAC CE in an ascending order of respective temporal information of the plurality of first objects corresponding to the plurality of data volume information.
13 . The UE according to claim 12 , wherein the first-type status report is a report that is different than a buffer status report (BSR).
14 . The UE according to claim 12 , wherein the plurality of data volume information are associated with one logical channel group (LCG).
15 . The UE according to claim 12 , wherein a radio resource control (RRC) information element (IE) is used for signaling the temporal information.
16 . The UE according to claim 12 , wherein the temporal information of the plurality of first objects are each a remaining delay budget of a first object of the plurality of first objects.
17 . The UE according to claim 12 , wherein the MAC PDU is transmitted comprising the first MAC CE on a condition that a minimum value of the temporal information of the plurality of objects is less than a threshold value.
18 . The UE according to claim 12 , comprising:
a receiver configured to receive an uplink grant,
wherein the transmitter is configured to transmit the MAC PDU on the uplink grant.
19 . The UE according to claim 12 , wherein:
the UE is configured to execute logical channel prioritization in which an order of the first MAC CE is not lower than an order of a MAC CE for a regular buffer status report (BSR).
20 . The UE according to claim 12 , wherein the first MAC CE includes a bitmap, a bit in the bitmap corresponds to one LCGi field, the bit is set to 1 to indicate that a data volume information of the plurality of data volume information is reported, and the bit is set to 0 to indicate that the data volume information of the plurality of data volume information is not reported.
21 . The UE according to claim 12 , wherein:
a second-type status report is cancelled in response to transmitting the MAC PDU, and
the second-type status report is triggered before the MAC PDU is transmitted.
22 . The UE according to claim 12 , wherein:
the transmitter is configured to transmit first temporal information of at least one object of the plurality of first objects.
23 . The UE according to claim 12 , wherein the first MAC CE comprises a field that indicates whether the first MAC CE comprises temporal information for an object of the plurality of first objects.
24 . A method, comprising:
transmitting, by a user equipment (UE), a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) in response to a first-type status report being triggered, wherein the MAC PDU comprises at least a first MAC control element (MAC CE) that indicates a plurality of data volume information, wherein the plurality of data volume information corresponds to a plurality of first objects, respectively, wherein the plurality of data volume information are sorted in the first MAC CE in an ascending order of respective temporal information of the plurality of first objects corresponding to the plurality of data volume information.
