Abstract

The present application discloses a method and apparatus used in a communication node for wireless communication. The method comprises: the communication node initiating a random access procedure; in the random access procedure, transmitting a signal; monitoring signaling, wherein the signal is used for triggering the signaling, and the signaling is used for determining a time length; after the signal is transmitted, increasing a counter by 1; and in response to the counter reaching a target integer, executing an action set, wherein if the time length is applied to only part of uplink transmission for a cell, the action set does not comprise determining a radio link failure, if the time length is applied to the uplink transmission for the cell, the action set comprises determining the radio link failure, the cell is an SpCell, and the uplink transmission comprises a PUCCH transmission, PUSCH transmission, or SRS transmission.

Claims (67)

13 . A user equipment (UE) comprising:

a processor;

a transmitter configured to transmit a signal in a random access procedure; and

a receiver configured to monitor signaling, wherein the signal is used for triggering the signaling, and the signaling is used for determining a time length;

the processor being configured to:

initiate the random access procedure;

increase a counter by 1 after the signal is transmitted; and

execute an action set in response to the counter reaching a target integer;

wherein whether the action set comprises determining a radio link failure depends on an uplink transmission to which the time length is applied, wherein the uplink transmission comprises at least one of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission, physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission, or a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission; and

wherein on a condition that the time length is applied to only part of the uplink transmission for a special cell (SpCell), the action set does not comprise determining a radio link failure, and on a condition that the time length is applied to the uplink transmission for the SpCell, the action set comprises determining the radio link failure.

14 . The UE of claim 13 , wherein:

the uplink transmission to which the time length is applied is associated only with a first resource set of both the first resource set and a second resource set;

the first resource set and the second resource set are both associated with the SpCell;

the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell;

at least one resource is included in the first resource set; and

at least one resource is included in the second resource set.

15 . The UE of claim 14 , wherein:

the first resource set is not a reference resource set; and

the reference resource set is default in both the first resource set and the second resource set, or the reference resource set is indicated in both the first resource set and the second resource set.

16 . The UE of claim 13 , wherein:

downlink control information (DCI) is received;

the DCI is used for triggering the random access procedure;

the DCI is used for determining that the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell; and

the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell.

17 . The UE of claim 13 , wherein:

expiration of a timer is used for triggering the random access procedure; and

the expiration of the timer being used for triggering the random access procedure is used for determining that the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell, and the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell.

18 . The UE of claim 13 , wherein on a condition that the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell, the action set comprises releasing at least part of resources used for the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell.

19 . The UE of claim 13 , wherein on a condition that the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell, the action set comprises transmitting uplink signaling.

20 . The UE of claim 19 , wherein the uplink signaling is used for indicating that the random access procedure is not successfully completed.

21 . The UE of claim 13 , wherein:

a different time length than the time length is applied to a different uplink transmission other than the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell; and

wherein the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell.

22 . The UE of claim 21 , wherein the different uplink transmission other than the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell is available.

23 . A method performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:

initiating a random access procedure;

transmitting a signal in the random access procedure;

monitoring signaling, wherein the signal is used for triggering the signaling, and the signaling is used for determining a time length;

increasing a counter by 1 after the signal is transmitted; and

executing an action set in response to the counter reaching a target integer;

wherein whether the action set comprises determining a radio link failure depends on an uplink transmission to which the time length is applied, wherein the uplink transmission comprises at least one of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission, physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission, or a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission; and

wherein on a condition that the time length is applied to only part of the uplink transmission for a special cell (SpCell), the action set does not comprise determining a radio link failure, and on a condition that the time length is applied to the uplink transmission for the SpCell, the action set comprises determining the radio link failure.

24 . The method of claim 23 , wherein:

the uplink transmission to which the time length is applied is associated only with a first resource set of both the first resource set and a second resource set;

the first resource set and the second resource set are both associated with the SpCell;

the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell;

at least one resource is included in the first resource set; and

at least one resource is included in the second resource set.

25 . The method of claim 24 , wherein:

the first resource set is not a reference resource set; and

the reference resource set is default in both the first resource set and the second resource set, or the reference resource set is indicated in both the first resource set and the second resource set.

26 . The method of claim 23 , further comprising:

receiving downlink control information (DCI);

using the DCI for triggering the random access procedure;

using the DCI for determining that the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell; and

applying the time length to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell.

27 . The method of claim 23 , wherein:

expiration of a timer is used for triggering the random access procedure; and

the expiration of the timer being used for triggering the random access procedure is used for determining that the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell, and the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell.

28 . The method of claim 23 , wherein on a condition that the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell, the action set comprises releasing at least part of resources used for the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell.

29 . The method of claim 23 , wherein on a condition that the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell, the action set comprises transmitting uplink signaling.

30 . The method of claim 29 , wherein the uplink signaling is used for indicating that the random access procedure is not successfully completed.

31 . The method of claim 23 , wherein:

a different time length than the time length is applied to a different uplink transmission other than the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell; and

wherein the time length is applied to the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell.

32 . The method of claim 31 , wherein the different uplink transmission other than the only part of the uplink transmission for the SpCell is available.
