Abstract

A minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine, comprising: a vertically wall-mountable beam having an upper height level and a lower height level when mounted on a wall; a selectively positionable arm configured to extend from the vertical wall-mountable beam, wherein the arm is further configured to receive an exercise force applied thereto; and a horizontal beam configured to extend from an intermediate location on the vertically wall-mountable beam thereby dividing exposed wall above and below the horizontal beam into a first upper exposed wall section free of exercise machine structure therein and a second lower exposed wall section free of exercise machine structure therein wall.

Claims (44)

1. A minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine, comprising:

a vertically wall-mountable beam having an upper height level and a lower height level when mounted on a wall;

a selectively positionable arm configured to extend from the vertical wall-mountable beam, to be positioned at differing heights along the vertical wall-mountable beam, and to have a cable extending from a distal end thereof, the cable being configured to attach to at least one accessory and to receive an exercise force applied thereto; and

a horizontal beam including a shelf on an upper side thereof and configured to extend from an intermediate location on the vertically wall-mountable beam thereby dividing exposed wall above and below the horizontal beam into a first upper exposed wall section free of exercise machine structure therein and a second lower exposed wall section free of exercise machine structure therein, and

wherein the horizontal beam is configured for connection at a location spaced from the vertically wall-mountable beam, to thereby resist a torque component of the exercise force applied to the vertically wall-mountable beam.

2. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 1 , wherein the horizontal beam includes at least one hook extending therefrom for supporting at least one exercise accessory.

3. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 1 , further comprising a mobile communications device charger associated with the shelf.

4. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 3 , wherein the charger is a wireless charger.

5. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 3 , wherein the charger includes a wired connection.

6. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 1 , wherein the vertically wall-mountable beam is configured for connecting to a first wall stud, and wherein the horizontal beam is configured for connecting to a second wall stud adjacent the first wall stud.

The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 6 , wherein a width of the first upper exposed wall section free of exercise machine structure therein and a width of the second lower exposed wall section free of exercise machine structure therein corresponds to a distance between the first wall stud and the adjacent second wall stud.

The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 1 , wherein the vertically wall-mountable beam includes an upper attachment point for connection to an upper location on the wall and a lower attachment point for connection to a lower location on the wall, and wherein the intermediate location is between the upper attachment point and the lower attachment point.

9. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 8 , further comprising an upper bracket for connecting the vertical wall-mountable beam to the upper location on the wall.

10. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 9 , wherein the upper bracket is configured to house at least one pulley.

11. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 10 , wherein the at least one pulley is located between the vertically wall-mountable beam and the wall.

12. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 10 , wherein the upper bracket is configured to maintain a gap between the vertically wall-mountable beam and the wall.

13. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 8 , further comprising a lower bracket for connecting the vertical wall-mountable beam to the lower location on the wall.

14. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 13 , further comprising a resistance motor and wherein the lower bracket is configured to house the resistance motor.

15. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 14 , wherein the resistance motor is housed in a location of the lower bracket between the vertically wall-mountable beam and the wall.

16. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 13 , wherein the lower bracket is configured to maintain a gap between the vertical wall-mountable beam and the wall.

17. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 1 , wherein the selectively positionable arm is configured to rotate relative to the vertical wall-mountable beam.

18. A minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine, comprising:

a vertically wall-mountable beam having an upper height level and a lower height level when mounted on a wall, an upperattachment point for connection to an upper location on the wall and a lower attachment point for connection to a lower location on the wall;

a selectively positionable arm configured to extend from the vertical wall-mountable beam, wherein the arm is further configured to receive an exercise force applied thereto;

a horizontal beam configured to extend from an intermediate location between the upper attachment point and the lower attachment point on the vertically wall-mountable beam thereby dividing exposed wall above and below the horizontal beam into a first upper exposed wall section free of exercise machine structure therein and a second lower exposed wall section free of exercise machine structure therein wall;

a resistance motor;

an upper bracket for connecting the vertical wall-mountable beam to the upper location on the wall; and

a lower bracket for connecting the vertical wall-mountable beam to the lower location on the wall and configured to house the resistance motor.

19. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 18 , wherein the horizontal beam is configured for connection at a location spaced from the vertically wall-mountable beam, to thereby resist a torque component of the exercise force applied to the vertically wall-mountable beam.

20. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 18 , wherein the horizontal beam includes a shelf on an upper side thereof.

21. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 20 , further comprising a mobile communications device charger associated with the shelf.

22. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 21 , wherein the charger is a wireless charger.

23. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 21 , wherein the charger includes a wired connection.

24. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 18 , wherein the horizontal beam includes at least one hook extending therefrom for supporting at least one exercise accessory.

25. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 24 wherein the at least one exercise accessory is configured for attachment to a cable extending from a distal end of the selectively positionable arm.

26. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 18 , wherein the vertically wall-mountable beam is configured for connecting to a first wall stud, and wherein the horizontal beam is configured for connecting to a second wall stud adjacent the first wall stud.

The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 26 , wherein a width of the first upper exposed wall section free of exercise machine structure therein and a width of the second lower exposed wall section free of exercise machine structure therein corresponds to a distance between the first wall stud and the adjacent second wall stud.

28. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 18 , wherein the upper bracket is configured to house at least one pulley.

29. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 28 , wherein the at least one pulley is located between the vertically wall-mountable beam and the wall.

30. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 18 , wherein the upper bracket is configured to maintain a gap between the vertically wall-mountable beam and the wall.

31. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 18 , wherein the resistance motor is housed in a location of the lower bracket between the vertically wall-mountable beam and the wall.

32. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 18 , wherein the selectively positionable arm is configured for positioning at differing heights along the vertical wall-mountable beam.

33. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 18 , wherein the selectively positionable arm is configured to rotate relative to the vertical wall-mountable beam.

34. The minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine of claim 18 , wherein the lower bracket is configured to maintain a gap between the vertical wall-mountable beam and the wall.
