Abstract

A system and method for an interactive digitally rendered avatar of a subject person during a video presentation is described. In one embodiment, the method includes transmitting a video presentation featuring a subject person to a plurality of users via a first communication format. The method also includes receiving from at least one user of the plurality of users during the video presentation, a request to initiate an interactive session with an avatar of the subject person. In response to the request, the method includes generating a first avatar of the subject person and initiating a first interactive session between the first avatar and the at least one user. The method further includes engaging in the first interactive session between the first avatar of the subject person and the at least one user via a second communication format that is different than the first communication format.

Claims (38)

1 . A method of detecting feedback from a plurality of users during a group presentation by a subject person, the method comprising:

transmitting a video of the group presentation featuring the subject person to the plurality of users via a first communication format;

detecting from a user interface of at least one user of the plurality of users during the group presentation, feedback from the at least one user during the group presentation;

wherein detecting the feedback from the at least one user during the group presentation comprises capturing an input made by the at least one user during the group presentation through the user interface that includes one of a gesture, a facial expression, or body language made by the at least one user;

collecting each detected feedback from the at least one user detected during the group presentation; and

upon completion of the group presentation, providing a summary of the collected feedback to the at least one user.

2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the collected feedback is provided to the at least one user via the user interface.

3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the group presentation includes two or more portions, each portion being associated with a different topic or subject; and

wherein the collected feedback includes a timestamp corresponding to each portion of the two or more portions of the group presentation when the feedback was detected.

4 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising:

generating at least one tutoring session for the at least one user based on the collected feedback.

5 . The method according to claim 4 , wherein the at least one tutoring session corresponds to a portion of the group presentation when the collected feedback was detected.

6 . The method according to claim 4 , wherein the at least one tutoring session is conducted with an interactive avatar of the subject person.

7 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the feedback comprises direct feedback associated with an input from the at least one user detected from one of a microphone, a keyboard, a mouse, or a touchscreen.

8 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the feedback comprises indirect feedback captured by a camera of the user interface.

9 . The method according to claim 8 , wherein detecting the indirect feedback includes executing gesture recognition and/or facial recognition algorithms to analyze video or images captured by the camera of the user interface to detect and recognize a gesture or facial expression made by the at least one user during the group presentation.

10 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the summary includes an identification of direct and/or indirect feedback detected and collected during each portion of the group presentation.

11 . A system for detecting feedback from a plurality of users during a group presentation by a subject person, the system comprising:

a communication interface allowing communication with one or more users of a plurality of users;

a plurality of user interfaces, wherein each user interface is associated with a user of the plurality of users;

an artificial intelligence engine in communication with the communication interface, the artificial intelligence engine including at least one processor, a memory, and storage for computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processer, cause the at least one processor to:

transmit a video of the group presentation featuring the subject person to the plurality of users via a first communication format;

detect from a user interface of at least one user of the plurality of users during the group presentation, feedback from the at least one user during the group presentation;

wherein detecting the feedback from the at least one user during the group presentation comprises capturing an input made by the at least one user during the group presentation through the user interface that includes one of a gesture, a facial expression, or body language made by the at least one user;

collect each detected feedback from the at least one user detected during the group presentation; and

upon completion of the group presentation, provide a summary of the collected feedback to the at least one user.

12 . The system according to claim 11 , wherein the collected feedback is provided to the at least one user via the user interface.

13 . The system according to claim 11 , wherein the group presentation includes two or more portions, each portion being associated with a different topic or subject; and

wherein the collected feedback includes a timestamp corresponding to each portion of the two or more portions of the group presentation when the feedback was detected.

14 . The system according to claim 11 , wherein the instructions further cause the at least one processor to:

generate at least one tutoring session for the at least one user based on the collected feedback.

15 . The system according to claim 14 , wherein the at least one tutoring session corresponds to a portion of the group presentation when the collected feedback was detected.

16 . The system according to claim 14 , wherein the at least one tutoring session is conducted with an interactive avatar of the subject person.

17 . The system according to claim 11 , wherein the feedback comprises direct feedback associated with an input from the at least one user detected from one of a microphone, a keyboard, a mouse, or a touchscreen.

18 . The system according to claim 11 , wherein the feedback comprises indirect feedback captured by a camera of the user interface.

19 . The system according to claim 18 , wherein the instructions further cause the at least one processor to:

execute gesture recognition and/or facial recognition algorithms to detect indirect feedback by analyzing video or images captured by the camera of the user interface to detect and recognize a gesture or facial expression made by the at least one user during the group presentation.

20 . The system according to claim 11 , wherein the summary includes an identification of direct and/or indirect feedback detected and collected during each portion of the group presentation.
