VISUALIZATION BASED ON AUDIO ANALYSIS
A game headset receives a plurality of channels of game and/or chat audio during game play, monitors the plurality of channels, and detect one or more sounds on the channels during the monitoring. The game headset determines characteristics of the detected one or more sound and outputs one or more signals for generating a visual representation of the detected one or more sounds based on the determined characteristics. The game headset output the signals to a game console that provides the game play. The game console displays the visual representation during the game play based on the communicated visualization information. The one or more signals is a video stream of an in-game visualization. The game headset outputs the one or more signals to a second screen communication device that generates the visual representation during the game play based on the signals.

19 . A device, comprising:
a processor configured, via an app, to:
receive data from an external device;
determine a sound source according to the data; and
generate visual information according to the sound source.
20 . The device of claim 19 , wherein the processor is operable to display the visual information.
21 . The device of claim 19 , wherein the device is a mobile phone.
22 . The device of claim 19 , wherein the processor is operable to access a database that stores a plurality of audio signatures.
23 . The device of claim 19 , wherein:
the visual information comprises a plurality of markers corresponding to a plurality of sound sources, and
the plurality of sound sources comprises the sound source.
24 . The device of claim 23 , wherein a marker of the plurality of markers conveys a relative position of the sound source.
25 . The device of claim 23 , wherein a marker of the plurality of markers conveys a speed of the sound source.
26 . The device of claim 23 , wherein a marker of the plurality of markers conveys a direction of movement of the sound source.
27 . The device of claim 19 , wherein the processor is operable to determine which one or more of a plurality of audio channels of the data are carrying sounds from the sound source.
28 . The device of claim 19 , wherein the processor is operable to wirelessly receive audio information from the external device.
29 . A method comprising:
receiving data from an external device;
detecting a sound source according to the information; and
generating visual information according to the sound source.
30 . The method of claim 29 , wherein the method comprises displaying the visual information.
31 . The method of claim 29 , wherein the device is a mobile phone.
32 . The method of claim 29 , wherein the method comprises accessing a database that stores a plurality of audio signatures.
33 . The method of claim 29 , wherein:
the visual information comprises a plurality of markers corresponding to a plurality of sound sources, and
the plurality of sound sources comprises the sound source.
34 . The method of claim 33 , wherein a marker of the plurality of markers conveys a relative position of the sound source.
35 . The method of claim 33 , wherein a marker of the plurality of markers conveys a speed of the sound source.
36 . The method of claim 33 , wherein a marker of the plurality of markers conveys a direction of movement of the sound source.
37 . The method of claim 29 , wherein the method comprises determining which one or more of a plurality of audio channels of the data are carrying sounds from the sound source.
38 . The method of claim 29 , wherein the method comprises wirelessly receiving audio information from the external device.
