Abstract

Wireless communications are described. A wireless device may receive configuration parameters of an unlicensed cell. The configuration parameters may indicate a starting position in an uplink subframe. The starting position may be based on a listen-before-talk (LBT) period and a timing advance value.

Claims (98)

1 . A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, downlink control information (DCI) indicating that a starting position, of an uplink transmission, in a time interval of a cell is based on:

a duration of a listen-before-talk (LBT) period; and

a timing advance value; and

transmitting, starting from the starting position, an uplink signal.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the DCI indicates:

a value associated with a beginning of symbol zero of the time interval;

a value associated with a beginning of symbol one of the time interval.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the time interval for the uplink transmission starts earlier than a time interval, for a downlink transmission, by the timing advance value.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the cell comprises at least one of:

a cell that uses a spectrum unlicensed by one or more 3GPP standards;

a cell that uses a spectrum unlicensed by one or more regulatory requirements;

a cell that uses a shared spectrum in accordance with one or more 3GPP standards;

a cell that uses a shared spectrum in accordance with one or more regulatory requirements;

a primary cell;

a secondary cell; or

a primary secondary cell.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the time interval comprises at least one of:

a frame;

a subframe;

a slot; or

a symbol.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink signal comprises one or more transport blocks (TBs).

7 . A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, configures the wireless device to:

receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating that a starting position, of an uplink transmission, in a time interval of a cell is based on:

a duration of a listen-before-talk (LBT) period; and

a timing advance value; and

transmit, starting from the starting position, an uplink signal.

8 . The wireless device of claim 7 , wherein the DCI indicates:

a value associated with a beginning of symbol zero of the time interval;

a value associated with twenty-five micro-seconds after a beginning of symbol zero of the time interval;

a value associated with a quantity of microseconds after a beginning of symbol zero of the time interval, wherein the quantity of microseconds is based on twenty-five micro-seconds plus a timing advance; or

a value associated with a beginning of symbol one of the time interval.

9 . The wireless device of claim 7 , wherein the time interval starts earlier than a time interval, for a downlink transmission, by the timing advance value.

10 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed, configure a wireless device to:

receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating that a starting position, of an uplink transmission, in a time interval of a cell is based on:

a duration of a listen-before-talk (LBT) period; and

a timing advance value; and

transmit, starting from the starting position of the time interval, an uplink signal.

11 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 10 , wherein the DCI indicates:

a value associated with a beginning of symbol zero of the time interval;

a value associated with twenty-five micro-seconds after the beginning of symbol zero of the time interval;

a value associated with a quantity of microseconds after the beginning of symbol zero of the time interval, wherein the quantity of microseconds is based on twenty-five micro-seconds plus a timing advance; or

a value associated with a beginning of symbol one of the time interval.

12 . A method comprising:

transmitting, by a base station, downlink control information (DCI) indicating that a starting position, of an uplink transmission, in a time interval of a cell is based on:

a duration of listen-before-talk (LBT) period; and

a timing advance value; and

receiving, based on the starting position, an uplink signal.

13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the DCI indicates:

a value associated with a beginning of symbol zero of the time interval;

a value associated with twenty-five micro-seconds after the beginning of symbol zero of the time interval;

a value associated with a quantity of microseconds after the beginning of symbol zero of the time interval, wherein the quantity of microseconds is based on twenty-five micro-seconds plus a timing advance; or

a value associated with a beginning of symbol one of the time interval.

14 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the time interval starts earlier than a time interval, for a downlink transmission, by the timing advance value.

15 . A base station comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the base station to:

transmit downlink control information (DCI) indicating that a starting position, of an uplink transmission, in a time interval of a cell is based on:

a duration of a listen-before-talk (LBT) period; and

a timing advance value; and

receive, based on the starting position, an uplink signal.

16 . The base station of claim 15 , wherein the DCI indicates:

a value associated with a beginning of symbol zero of the time interval;
