Abstract

Various embodiments disclosed herein relate to stemmed and stemless humeral anchors for use in shoulder arthroplasty procedures. For example, the humeral anchor can include a first end, a second end, and an interior surface extending between the first end and the second end. The interior surface can be disposed about a recess disposed between the first end and the second end. The recess can be configured to secure a coupling of a shoulder articular body directly to the interior surface.

102 . The kit of claim 97 , wherein the locking feature defines a circumferential slot sized and configured to receive a locking ring.

103 . The kit of claim 97 , further comprising:

a humeral anchor extending from a distal end to a proximal end, the proximal end defining a first recess for at least partially receiving the articular component therein for coupling the articular component to the humeral anchor.

104 . The kit of claim 103 , wherein the first recess defined by the humeral anchor includes:

at least one first concave locking feature configured to engage the at least one convex locking tab, and

at least one first convex locking feature configured to engage the at least one concave locking slot.

105 . The kit of claim 104 , wherein the humeral anchor includes a stem.

106 . The kit of claim 105 , wherein the proximal end of the humeral anchor includes a cancellous bone interface including:

a flange extending outwardly from the proximal end and including a circular outer periphery and a distal facing bone compression surface, and

a porous zone disposed adjacent to the flange and configured for bone in-growth.

107 . The kit of claim 104 , wherein a second recess is defined by the proximal end of the humeral anchor, the second recess sized and configured to receive the projection extending distally from the locking feature of the articular component.

108 . The kit of claim 107 , wherein a circumferential groove is defined by the proximal end of the humeral anchor within the first recess, the circumferential groove sized and configured to receive a locking ring.

109 . The kit of claim 104 , wherein the humeral anchor is a stemless humeral anchor.

a body having a first side and a second side, the first side including a concave articular surface sized and configured to interface with a reverse glenoid component, and the second side disposed opposite the first side,

a locking feature extending from the second side of the body and being sized to be received within the first recess defined by the humeral anchor, the locking feature including at least one convex locking tab and at least one concave locking slot, and

a projection extending from the locking feature of the reverse articular component and being sized and configured to be received within the second recess defined by the humeral anchor.

111 . The humeral implant of claim 110 , wherein the at least one convex locking tab includes:

a first locking tab configured to engage a first concave locking feature defined by an inner periphery of the proximal end of the humeral anchor; and

a second locking tab spaced apart from the first locking tab, the second locking tab configured to engage a second concave locking feature defined by the inner periphery of the proximal end of the humeral anchor.

112 . The humeral implant of claim 111 , wherein the at least one concave locking slot includes:

a first concave locking slot sized and configured to receive a first convex locking feature extending from the inner periphery of the proximal end of the humeral anchor; and

a second concave locking slot spaced apart from the first concave locking slot, the second concave locking slot sized and configured to receive a second convex locking feature extending from the inner periphery of the proximal end of the humeral anchor.
