Vessel Prosthesis
A vascular prosthesis is described, having blunted wire ends. The blunted wire ends can take on a variety of configurations including end caps, bent ends, curved ends, or eyelets. The novel ends provide a smooth surface to contact the blood vessel walls thereby reducing the risk of trauma during placement of the prosthesis.

20 . A vascular prosthesis comprising:
a plurality of wires woven together to form a tubular shape; and
a curved segment on an end of the tubular shape, the curved segment being formed by a first wire and a second wire of the plurality of wires; and,
wherein a distal portion of the first wire is attached to a distal portion of the second wire to form the curved segment.
21 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 20 , wherein the distal portion of the first wire is curved.
22 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 21 , wherein the distal portion of the second wire is curved.
23 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 20 , wherein said vascular prosthesis comprises an outer layer and an inner layer.
24 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 20 , wherein the distal portion of the first wire is bent towards the distal portion of the second wire.
25 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 20 , wherein the distal portion of the first wire is welded to the distal portion of the second wire.
26 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 20 , wherein the first wire and the second wire form rounded curved portions that are welded to each other.
27 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 20 , wherein the curved segment projects outwardly from the end of the tubular shape.
28 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 20 , wherein a distal end of the first wire is parallel to a distal end of the second wire.
29 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 20 , wherein the curved segment is rounded.
30 . A vascular prosthesis comprising:
a plurality of wires woven together to form a tubular shape; and
a plurality of curved ends projecting outwardly from the tubular shape, wherein each of the plurality of curved ends is formed by a first wire and a second wire; and,
wherein, for each of the plurality of curved ends, a distal portion of the first wire is attached to a distal portion of the second wire.
31 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 30 , wherein the distal portion of the first wire is curved.
32 . The vascular prosthesis of claim 30 , wherein the distal portion of the first wire is curved towards a distal end of the second wire.
