Abstract

The present disclosure describes systems and methods for providing distributed infrastructure services in a peer-to-peer network. A first computing device acting as a node of a distributed ledger receives, from a second computing device, an access key and an identification of one or more items of data for storage. The first computing device executes a smart contract of the distributed ledger using the access key, the smart contract recording an identification of the access key and the identification of the one or more items of data in the distributed ledger. The first computing device stores, via a peer-to-peer network, the one or more items of data responsive to execution of the smart contract.

Claims (29)

1 . A method for providing distributed infrastructure services in a peer-to-peer network, comprising:

receiving, by a first computing device acting as a node of a distributed ledger from a second computing device, an access key and an identification of one or more items of data for storage;

executing, by the first computing device, a smart contract of the distributed ledger using the access key, the smart contract recording an identification of the access key and the identification of the one or more items of data in the distributed ledger; and

storing, by the first computing device via a peer-to-peer network, the one or more items of data responsive to execution of the smart contract.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the access key comprises a user identifier, device identifier, or a public key.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the access key comprises an address for storing and retrieving the one or more items of data.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the smart contract maintains an array associating the access key with the identification of the one or more items of data.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the array is stored in the distributed ledger.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the access key is generated by the second computing device.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein storing the one or more items of data via the peer-to-peer network further comprises distributing the one or more items of data to a plurality of nodes in the peer-to-peer network.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the peer-to-peer network is separate from the distributed ledger system.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein storing the one or more items of data via the peer-to-peer network further comprises collecting the one or more items of data, by the first device, from one or more additional devices.

10 . A system for providing distributed infrastructure services in a peer-to-peer network, comprising:

a first computing device configured to operate as a node of a distributed ledger, the first computing device comprising one or more processors and one or more network interfaces;

wherein the one or more network interfaces are configured to receive, from a second computing device, an access key and an identification of one or more items of data for storage; and

wherein the one or more processors are configured to execute a smart contract of the distributed ledger using the access key, the smart contract recording an identification of the access key and the identification of the one or more items of data in the distributed ledger, and

store the one or more items of data via a peer-to-peer network, responsive to execution of the smart contract.

11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the access key comprises a user identifier, device identifier, or a public key.

12 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the access key comprises an address for storing and retrieving the one or more items of data.

13 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the smart contract maintains an array associating the access key with the identification of the one or more items of data.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the array is stored in the distributed ledger.

15 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the access key is generated by the second computing device.

16 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to distribute the one or more items of data to a plurality of nodes in the peer-to-peer network.

17 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the peer-to-peer network is separate from the distributed ledger system.

18 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to collect the one or more items of data from one or more additional devices.

19 . A method for providing distributed infrastructure services in a peer-to-peer network, comprising:

providing, by a first computing device to a second computing device acting as a node of a distributed ledger, an access key and an identification of one or more items of data for storage, wherein providing the access key causes the second computing device to execute a smart contract of the distributed ledger using the access key, the smart contract recording an identification of the access key and the identification of the one or more items of data in the distributed ledger; and

storing, by the first computing device via a peer-to-peer network, the one or more items of data responsive to execution of the smart contract.

20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the smart contract maintains an array associating the access key with the identification of the one or more items of data.
