SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING A PRODUCT EXCHANGE
An embodiment of this disclosure provides an apparatus. The apparatus includes a memory element configured to store a plurality of products and services and a processor. The processor is configured to receive profile information for a user accessing a plurality of video content. The processor is also configured to receive video content information for each of the plurality of video content being accessed by the user in a smart viewer. The video content information identifies at least one category associated with each of the plurality of video content. The processor is also configured to identify one or more of the plurality of products or services based on the profile information and the at least one category of the video content information. The processor is also configured to send the one or more of the plurality of products or services to the smart viewer.
1 . An apparatus, comprising:
a memory; and
a processor operatively coupled to the memory, the processor configured to:
dynamically bind a supplemental transaction item with a video, to form a shareable media container that is configured to:
cause display of the video via a display, and
facilitate an electronic commerce transaction associated with one of a product or a service, in response to an interaction by a user, via the display and during display of the video via the display, with the supplemental transaction item.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the processor or the shareable media container is further configured to
identify a product vendor of the product or the service, and and
trigger at least one payment associated with the electronic commerce transaction.
3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the at least one payment includes a vendor payment and a commission payment.
4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the supplemental transaction item includes a representation of the one of the product or the service, and the processor is further configured to:
identify the one of the product or the service based on at least one of profile information associated with the user or a content category of the video.
5 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the profile information includes one or more of a geographic location of the user, a time of day at which the user accesses the video content, or demographic information of the user.
6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the supplemental transaction item includes a representation of one of a plurality of products or a plurality of services, and the shareable media container is configured to facilitate the electronic commerce transaction by processing a single payment to cover the one of the plurality of products or the plurality of services.
7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the processor or the shareable media container is further configured to:
cause display of a recommendation of one or more trending products or services via the display.
8 . A method, comprising:
dynamically binding, via a processor of a first compute device, and to a video on-the-fly as the video is displayed within a display, a supplemental transaction item, to form a shareable media container that is configured to:
initiate, at a second compute device different from the first compute device, an electronic commerce transaction associated with one of a product or a service associated with the video, in response to an interaction of a user, via the display, with the supplemental transaction item.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein at least one of the processor or the shareable media container configured to is further configured to:
identify a product vendor for the one of the product or the service; and
process a payment associated with the electronic commerce transaction.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein at least one of the processor or the shareable media container is further configured to:
trigger at least two payments associated with the electronic commerce transaction, the at least two payments including a vendor payment and a commission payment.
11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the supplemental transaction item includes a representation of the one of the product or the service, and the processor is configured to identify the one of the product or the service based on at least one of profile information associated with the user and a content category of the video.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the profile information associated with the user includes at least one of a geographic location of the user, a time of day at which the user accesses the video content, or demographic information of the user.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the electronic commerce transaction comprises purchasing the one of the product or the service with a single payment from the user.
14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the display includes a smart viewer, and at least one of the processor or the shareable media container is further configured to:
cause display of a recommendation associated with one or more trending products or trending services via the smart viewer.
15 . A non-transitory, processor-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
dynamically bind, to a video and on-the-fly as the video is displayed within a display, a supplemental transaction item, to form a shareable media container that is configured to:
facilitate an electronic commerce transaction associated with one of a product or a service associated with the video, in response to an interaction of a user, via the display. with the supplemental transaction item, without redirecting or disrupting the display of the video.
16 . The non-transitory, processor-readable medium of claim 15 , further storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
identify a product vendor of the one of the product or the service, and
trigger at least one payment associated with the electronic commerce transaction.
17 . The non-transitory, processor-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the at least one payment includes a vendor payment and a commission payment.
18 . The non-transitory, processor-readable medium of claim 15 , further storing instructions to cause the processor to identify the one of the product or the service based on at least one of profile information associated with the user or a content category of the video.
19 . The non-transitory, processor-readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the profile information includes at least one of a geographic location of the user, a time of day at which the user accesses the video content, or demographic information of the user.
20 . The non-transitory, processor-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the supplemental transaction item includes a representation of one of a plurality of products or a plurality of services, and the shareable media container is configured to facilitate the electronic commerce transaction by processing a single payment for the one of the product or the service.
