Abstract

Described herein are methods of treating narcolepsy with cataplexy, comprising administering reboxetine (including esreboxetine) to a human being in need thereof. Reboxetine (including esreboxetine) may also be used in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of narcolepsy with cataplexy. Also disclosed herein are kits comprising a pharmaceutical composition comprising reboxetine (including esreboxetine) and instructions to use the pharmaceutical composition to treat narcolepsy with cataplexy in a human being.

Claims (10)

1 . A dosage form comprising about 3.5 mg to about 4.5 mg of esreboxetine free base, or a molar equivalent amount of a salt form of esreboxetine, starch, and about 0.5% to about 3% magnesium stearate by weight.

2 . The dosage form of claim 1 , wherein the dosage form comprises about 4 mg of esreboxetine free base, or a molar equivalent amount of a salt form of esreboxetine.

3 . The dosage form of claim 1 , further comprising hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.

4 . The dosage form of claim 1 , further comprising microcrystalline cellulose.

5 . The dosage form of claim 1 , further comprising hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose.

6 . A method of treating fibromyalgia, comprising administering the dosage form of claim 1 once a day to a human being in need thereof.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the dosage form further comprises hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.

8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the dosage form further comprises microcrystalline cellulose.

9 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the dosage form further comprises about 0.5% to about 3% magnesium stearate by weight.

10 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the dosage form further comprises hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, and about 0.5% to about 3% magnesium stearate by weight.
