Abstract
A new cultivar of Clematis plant named ‘EviGsy156’ that is characterized by its blooms in May and June and reblooms in late August to October, its flowers with tepals that are purple-blue in color with a darker purple-red color through the centers and contrasting red anthers, its compact plant habit; ranging between 90 cm and 1.2 m in height and spread on a current year's growth, its dense foliage, its floriferous blooming habit with repeat blooms, and its high suitability for growing in both gardens and containers.
