Abstract

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing optimization of network resources. The system is operable to monitor the electromagnetic environment, analyze the electromagnetic environment, and extract environmental awareness of the electromagnetic environment. The system extracts the environmental awareness of the electromagnetic environment by including customer goals. The system is operable to use the environmental awareness with the customer goals and/or user defined policies and rules to extract actionable information to help the customer optimize the network resources.

Claims (34)

1 . A system for optimization of spectrum utilization in an electromagnetic environment, comprising:

at least one data analysis engine operable to analyze measured data based on the electromagnetic environment to create analyzed data; and

a Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) layer in a network slice;

wherein the MEC layer is operable to analyze a network flow, a data flow, and/or a session flow to determine at least one type of service;

wherein the MEC layer is operable to generate at least one quality of experience key performance indicator (QoE KPI) based on the analyzed data, at least one customer goal, and the at least one type of service; and

wherein the MEC layer is operable to optimize at least one network parameter based on the at least one QoE KPI.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one data analysis engine is operable to generate and select at least one parameter to store in a parameter block based on the measured data.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one QoE KPI comprises a measure of latency, upload speed, download speed, reliability, and/or range of connection.

4 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising at least one multi-network orchestration module operable to manage simultaneous operation of at least two wireless networks that contain at least two wireless signals.

5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the at least one multi-network orchestration module is operable to prioritize network traffic based on demand.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one network parameter comprises at least one control plane parameter, a transmission power, a signal-to-interference ratio, a data throughput, a number of error correction codes, a duty cycle utilization of the electromagnetic environment, and/or at least one time synchronization parameter.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the MEC layer is operable to perform physical layer optimization by sending at least one suggestion to a core network about at least one physical layer parameter.

8 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising at least one smart contract engine that utilizes blockchain technology to facilitate dynamic spectrum leasing and sharing between at least two telecommunication operators.

9 . A system for optimization of spectrum utilization in an electromagnetic environment, comprising:

at least one data analysis engine operable to analyze measured data from the electromagnetic environment to create analyzed data; and

a Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) layer in a network slice;

wherein the MEC layer is operable to generate at least one quality of experience key performance indicator (QoE KPI) based on the analyzed data and at least one customer goal;

wherein the MEC layer is operable to automatically allocate at least one resource block based on the at least one QoE KPI, and at least one of an available information bandwidth and a data rate requirement; and

wherein the MEC layer is operable to optimize at least one other network parameter based on the at least one QoE KPI.

10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the at least one QoE KPI comprises a measure of latency, upload speed, download speed, reliability, and/or range of connection.

11 . The system of claim 9 , further comprising at least one smart contract engine operable to facilitate dynamic spectrum leasing between at least two telecommunication operators.

12 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the MEC layer is operable to perform physical layer optimization by sending at least one suggestion to a core network about at least one physical layer parameter.

13 . The system of claim 9 , further comprising a user-centric spectrum management module operable to personalize network performance enhancements.

14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the personalized network enhancements are based on the at least one customer goal.

15 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the at least one customer goal includes low-latency connections and/or high-bandwidth requirements.

16 . A method for optimization of spectrum utilization in an electromagnetic environment comprising:

analyzing measured data from the electromagnetic environment to create analyzed data with at least one data analysis engine;

analyzing a network flow, a data flow, and/or a session flow using a Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) layer in a network slice to determine at least one type of service;

generating at least one quality of experience key performance indicator (QoE KPI) using the MEC layer based on the analyzed data, at least one customer goal, and the at least one type of service; and

optimizing at least one network parameter using the MEC layer based on the at least one QoE KPI.

The method of claim 16 , wherein the at least one network parameter comprises at least one control plane parameter, a transmission power, a signal-to-interference ratio, a data throughput, a number of error correction codes, a duty cycle utilization of the electromagnetic environment, and/or at least one time synchronization parameter.

18 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising performing physical layer optimization by sending at least one suggestion using the MEC layer to a core network about one physical layer parameter.

19 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising at least one smart contract engine managing dynamic spectrum leasing between at least two telecommunication operators.

20 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the at least one customer goal includes low-latency connections and/or high-bandwidth requirements.
