Abstract

A method for heart tissue treatment includes providing a first heart tissue treatment member movable along a first shaft portion, providing a second heart tissue treatment member movable along a second shaft portion. The first and second heart tissue treatment members are movable along the first and second shaft portions, respectively. The first heart tissue treatment member is positioned on one side of a heart tissue and the second heart tissue treatment member is positioned on an opposite side of the heart tissue. A portion of the heart tissue is fracture by movement of the first heart tissue treatment member with respect to the second heart tissue treatment member.

Claims (9)

1 . A method for heart tissue treatment comprising:

providing a first heart tissue treatment member movable along a first shaft portion;

providing a second heart tissue treatment member movable along a second shaft portion, wherein said first and second heart tissue treatment members are movable along said first and second shaft portions, respectively;

causing said first heart tissue treatment member to be positioned on one side of a heart tissue and causing said second heart tissue treatment member to be positioned on an opposite side of the heart tissue; and

fracturing a portion of the heart tissue by movement of said first heart tissue treatment member with respect to said second heart tissue treatment member.

2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein fracturing the portion of the heart tissue comprises cutting the portion of the heart tissue.

3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein fracturing the portion of the heart tissue comprises chopping the portion of the heart tissue.

4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein fracturing the portion of the heart tissue comprises dividing the heart tissue into two portions.

5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein fracturing the portion of the heart tissue is part of a trans-catheter valve implantation procedure.
