Abstract

A computer-implement method and computer system may be configured to facilitate policyholder setup in connection with estate handling. An audible or visible chatbot avator or dopplegäger may lead a trustee, beneficiary, or family member through the estate of an impaired or deceased user. A computer system may have been provided with, or gather, sample voice and visual recordings associated with a user that are used to build the chatbot avatar that simulates the user audibly and/or visually. The computer system may have previously prompted the user for necessary items to properly handle their estate, such as information related to financial accounts, loans, insurance policies, etc. and user names and passwords to various electronic accounts.

Claims (70)

1 . A computer-implemented method for configuring a computing system to provide at least one of digital asset storage, management, or retrieval services associated with a digital account, the computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving, by a processor, information identifying a user authorized to access a digital asset associated with the digital account;

sending, by the processor, based on the information, and to an electronic device, an instruction causing the electronic device to connect to a digital asset service;

receiving, by the processor and based on the electronic device connecting to the digital asset service, a request to use the digital asset service;

establishing, by the processor and based on the request, a virtual communication session with the electronic device via a computer program; and

providing, by the processor and during the virtual communication session, a simulation of a characteristic of an owner of the digital account.

2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

detecting, by the processor, an event associated with the digital asset;

sending, by the processor and to the electronic device, an electronic notification of the event; and

presenting, by the processor and via the computer program, the electronic notification of the event.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , further comprising:

relaying, by the processor and during the virtual communication session, a status of the event associated with the digital asset.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

sending, by the processor, based on the information, and to the electronic device, an invitation to the user to enroll in the digital asset service;

receiving, by the processor and from the electronic device, a completion of the invitation to enroll the user in the digital asset service; and

based on receiving the completion of the invitation, associating, by the processor, the information identifying the user with the digital account.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

providing, by the processor and to the owner of the digital account, a computer programmable tool configured to collect data associated with the digital asset; and

receiving, by the processor and from the owner of the digital account, an authorization to use the computer programmable tool to collect the data associated with the digital asset.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 5 , further comprising:

configuring, by the processor, the computer programmable tool to automatically collect the data associated with the digital asset from a third-party system.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving, by the processor, personal information associated with an owner of the digital account;

inputting, by the processor, the personal information and the digital asset to a machine learning model; and

executing, by the processor, the machine learning model to generate the simulation of the characteristic of the owner of the digital account.

8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the characteristic of the owner of the digital account is simulated in at least one of text or voice.

9 . A computer system for configuring a computing system to provide at least one of digital asset storage, management, or retrieval services associated with a digital account, comprising:

a processor, and

a non-transitory computer-readable memory storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform actions including:

receiving information identifying a user authorized to access a digital asset associated with the digital account;

sending, based on the information, and to an electronic device, an instruction causing the electronic device to connect to a digital asset service;

receiving, based on the electronic device connecting to the digital asset service, a request to use the digital asset service;

establishing, based on the request, a virtual communication session with the electronic device via a computer program; and

providing, during the virtual communication session, a simulation of a characteristic of an owner of the digital account.

10 . The computer system of claim 9 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform the actions including:

detecting an event associated with the digital asset;

sending, to the electronic device, an electronic notification of the event to the user; and

presenting, via the computer program, the electronic notification of the event.

11 . The computer system of claim 10 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform the actions including:

relaying, via the processor and during the virtual communication session, status of the event associated with the digital asset.

12 . The computer system of claim 9 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform the actions including:

sending based on the information, and to the electronic device, an invitation to the user to enroll in the digital asset service;

receiving, from the electronic device, a completion of the invitation to enroll the user in the digital asset service; and

based on receiving the completion of the invitation, associating the information identifying the user with the digital account.

13 . The computer system of claim 9 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform the actions including:

providing, to the owner of the digital account, a computer programmable tool configured to collect data associated with the digital asset; and

receiving, from the owner of the digital account, an authorization to use the computer programmable tool to collect the data associated with the digital asset.

14 . The computer system of claim 13 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform the actions including:

configuring the computer programmable tool to automatically collect the data associated with the digital asset from a third-party system.

15 . The computer system of claim 9 , wherein the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform the actions including:

receiving personal information associated with an owner of the digital account;

inputting the personal information and the digital asset to a machine learning model; and

executing the machine learning model to generate the simulation of the characteristic of the owner of the digital account.

16 . The computer system of claim 9 , wherein the characteristic of the owner of the digital account is simulated in at least one of text or voice.

17 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions for configuring a computing system to provide at least one of digital asset storage, management, or retrieval services associated with a digital account that, when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform actions including:

receiving information identifying a user authorized to access a digital asset associated with the digital account;

sending, based on the information, and to an electronic device, an instruction causing the electronic device to connect to a digital asset service;
