The present invention is directed to isolated microorganisms as well as strains and mutants thereof, biomasses, microbial oils, compositions, and cultures; methods of producing the microbial oils, biomasses, and mutants; and methods of using the isolated microorganisms, biomasses, and microbial oils.

67 . A microbial oil, comprising
a triacylglycerol fraction from 65% to 98%, by weight, of a total weight of the microbial oil;
from 20% to 45%, by weight, of EPA based on the total weight of the microbial oil;
from 10% to 40%, by weight, of DHA based on the total weight of the microbial oil; and
from 0.1% to 5%, by weight, of ARA based on the total weight of the microbial oil; and
wherein the amount of EPA is from 36% to 65%, by weight, of a total amount of the EPA and DHA.
68 . The microbial oil of claim 67 , wherein the triacylglycerol fraction is from 75% to 98%, by weight, of the total weight of the microbial oil.
69 . The microbial oil of claim 68 , comprising from 25% to 40%, by weight, of EPA based on the total weight of the microbial oil.
70 . The microbial oil of claim 68 , comprising from 30% to 45%, by weight, of EPA based on the total weight of the microbial oil.
71 . The microbial oil of claim 69 , comprising from 10% to 30%, by weight, of DHA based on the total weight of the microbial oil.
72 . The microbial oil of claim 71 , comprising >90%, by weight, of combined EPA and DHA based on a total weight of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids.
73 . The microbial oil of claim 72 , comprising less than 5%, by weight, of 18:1 n-9 fatty acids, 18:2 n-6 fatty acids, 18:3 n-3 fatty acids, 20:1 n-9 fatty acids, 22:1 n-9 fatty acids, 18:4 n-3 fatty acids, or a combination thereof based on the total weight of the microbial oil.
74 . The microbial oil of claim 73 , comprising a sterol fraction from 0.3% to 5%, by weight, based on the total weight of the microbial oil.
75 . The microbial oil of claim 74 , comprising a free fatty acid fraction from 0.5% to 5%, by weight, based on the total weight of the microbial oil.
76 . The microbial oil of claim 75 , comprising 5% or less of heptadecanoic acid, and wherein the microbial oil is a thraustochytrid oil.
77 . A microbial oil, comprising:
a triacylglycerol fraction from 65% to 98%, by weight, of a total weight of the microbial oil;
at least 20%, by weight, of EPA based on a total weight of the triacylglycerol fraction;
from 10% to 40%, by weight, of DHA based on the total weight of the triacylglycerol fraction; and
wherein the amount of EPA is from 36% to 65%, by weight, of a total amount of the EPA and DHA.
78 . The microbial oil of claim 77 , wherein the triacylglycerol fraction is from 75% to 98%, by weight, of the total weight of the microbial oil.
79 . The microbial oil of claim 77 , comprising from 25% to 40%, by weight, of EPA based on the total weight of the triacylglycerol fraction.
80 . The microbial oil of claim 77 , comprising from 30% to 45%, by weight, of EPA based on the total weight of the triacylglycerol fraction.
81 . The microbial oil of claim 77 , comprising from 10% to 30%, by weight, of DHA based on the total weight of the triacylglycerol fraction.
82 . The microbial oil of claim 77 , comprising from 5% or less, by weight, of ARA based on the total weight of the triacylglycerol fraction.
83 . The microbial oil of claim 77 , comprising from at least 45%, by weight, of EPA, based on the total weight of the triacylglycerol fraction.
84 . The microbial oil of claim 77 , comprising less than 5%, by weight, of 18:1 n-9 fatty acids, 18:2 n-6 fatty acids, 18:3 n-3 fatty acids, 20:1 n-9 fatty acids, 22:1 n-9 fatty acids, 18:4 n-3 fatty acids, or a combination thereof based on the total weight of the triacylglycerol fraction.
85 . The microbial oil of claim 77 , wherein the microbial oil is a thraustochytrid oil.
86 . The microbial oil of claim 85 , wherein the thraustochytrid is a species from a genus selected from the group consisting of Schizochytrium, Thraustochytrium, Aurantiochytrium , and Ulkenia.
87 . A microbial oil, comprising:
a triacylglycerol fraction from 75% to 98%, by weight, of a total weight of the microbial oil;
from 25% to 40%, by weight, of EPA based on the total weight of the microbial oil;
from 10% to 30%, by weight, of DHA based on the total weight of the triacylglycerol fraction; and
from 0.1% to 5%, by weight, of ARA based on the total weight of the microbial oil.
88 . The microbial oil of claim 87 , wherein the triacylglycerol fraction is from 80% to 98%, by weight, of the total weight of the microbial oil.
89 . The microbial oil of claim 87 , wherein the triacylglycerol fraction is from 90% to 98%, by weight, of the total weight of the microbial oil.
90 . The microbial oil of claim 87 , comprising from 25% to 35%, by weight, of EPA based on the total weight of the microbial oil.
91 . The microbial oil of claim 87 , comprising from 30% to 40%, by weight, of EPA based on the total weight of the microbial oil.
92 . The microbial oil of claim 87 , wherein the amount of EPA is from 36% to 65%, by weight, of a total amount of the EPA and DHA.
93 . The microbial oil of claim 87 , comprising from 15% to 25%, by weight, of DHA based on the total weight of the microbial oil.
94 . The microbial oil of claim 87 , comprising >90%, by weight, of combined EPA and DHA based on a total weight of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids.
95 . The microbial oil of claim 87 , wherein the microbial oil is a thraustochytrid oil.
