WHEELBARROW BOLT RETAINING DEVICE
A wheelbarrow is disclosed. The wheelbarrow includes an improved wheel guard, leg arrangement, and stabilizer that require less work to transport, lift, and dump the wheelbarrow. Also disclosed are an improved axle structure and means of assembly for a wheelbarrow. Specifically disclosed are structures and methods for bolt retaining devices.
1 . A wheelbarrow, comprising:
a handle shaft having a handle at one end;
a wheel guard connected to the handle shaft distal the handle shaft handle;
an axle connected to the handle shaft;
a wheel mounted to the axle;
a leg mounted to the handle shaft;
a tub mounted to the handle shaft; and
a tub riser comprising a bolt receiver shaft comprising a bolt retaining nub;
wherein the tub riser is mounted between the tub and the handle shaft by a mounting bolt.
2 . The wheelbarrow of claim 1 wherein the tub riser comprises plastic.
3 . The wheelbarrow of claim 2 wherein the bolt retaining nub is formed as part of the tub riser.
4 . The wheelbarrow of claim 3 wherein the bolt retaining nub prevents the mounting bolt from dislodging from the bolt receiver shaft by gravity.
5 . The wheelbarrow of claim 4 wherein the bolt retaining nub is located proximate the tub.
6 . The wheelbarrow of claim 4 wherein the bolt retaining nub is located proximate the handle shaft.
7 . The wheelbarrow of claim 5 wherein the bolt receiver shaft comprises two bolt retaining nubs.
8 . The wheelbarrow of claim 5 wherein the bolt receiver shaft comprises three bolt retaining nubs.
9 . The wheelbarrow of claim 5 wherein the bolt receiver shaft comprises four bolt retaining nubs.
10 . The wheelbarrow of claim 4 wherein the tub riser comprises two bolt receiver shafts, each bolt receiver shaft comprising a bolt retaining nub.
11 . A wheelbarrow, comprising:
a pair of handle shafts, each handle shaft having a handle at one end;
a wheel guard connecting the pair of handle shafts distal the handle shaft handles;
an axle connecting the pair of handle shafts;
a wheel mounted to the axle;
a leg mounted to each of the pair of handle shafts;
a tub mounted to the pair handle shafts; and
a pair of tub risers, each tub riser comprising a bolt receiver shaft comprising a bolt retaining nub;
wherein each tub riser is mounted between the tub and a respective one of the pair of handle shafts by a mounting bolt.
12 . The wheelbarrow of claim 11 wherein the bolt retaining nub of each of the pair of tub risers prevents the mounting bolt from dislodging from the bolt receiver shaft by gravity.
13 . The wheelbarrow of claim 12 wherein each of the pair of tub risers comprises plastic.
14 . The wheelbarrow of claim 13 wherein the bolt retaining nub of each of the pair of tub risers is formed as part of the tub riser.
15 . The wheelbarrow of claim 14 wherein the bolt retaining nub of each of the pair of tub risers is located proximate the handle shaft.
16 . The wheelbarrow of claim 11 wherein the bolt receiver shaft comprises two bolt retaining nubs.
17 . The wheelbarrow of claim 11 wherein the bolt receiver shaft comprises three bolt retaining nubs.
18 . The wheelbarrow of claim 11 wherein the bolt receiver shaft comprises four bolt retaining nubs.
19 . The wheelbarrow of claim 12 wherein each tub riser comprises two bolt receiver shafts, each bolt receiver shaft comprising a bolt retaining nub.
20 . A wheelbarrow comprising:
a frame;
an axle connected to the frame;
a wheel mounted to the axle;
a pair of tub risers mounted to the frame, each tub riser comprising a bolt receiver shaft comprising a bolt retaining nub; and
a metal tub mounted to the pair of tub risers;
wherein the metal tub and each of the pair of tub risers are mounted to the frame by a mounting bolt, each mounting bolt held in place by a bolt retaining nub.
