Abstract

A mounting system capable of mounting objects to support structures. The mounting system includes a wall mount including a display bracket configured to hold the object, a fixed support bracket coupleable to a vertical support structure, and a linkage assembly. The linkage assembly has a low-profile stowed configuration in which the object is held in a raised position close to the support structure. Tilt adjustment mechanisms are used to adjust the tilt of the display bracket.

Claims (59)

1 . A voice-controlled television mounting system comprising:

a television mount assembly configured to couple to a wall, the television mount assembly including

a display bracket configured to hold a television, and

a linkage assembly rotatably coupled to the display bracket and movable between a raised configuration to position the display bracket at a raised position and a lowered configuration to position the display bracket at a lowered position; and

a voice-controlled motorized assembly coupled to the television mount assembly and programmed to store a plurality of user-selected position settings for the display bracket, wherein the voice-controlled motorized assembly includes

a motor,

a wireless remote configured to control operation of the motor, and

a control device coupled to the motor and programmed to

wirelessly communicate with the wireless remote to move the display bracket to one of the plurality of user-selected position settings, and

enable wireless communications with a controller for controlling the motor, wherein the controller is different from the wireless remote and is at least one of a smartphone or a tablet,

wherein at least one of the controller or the control device receives voice commands for operating the motor.

2 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 1 , wherein the wireless remote is configured to program the plurality of user-selected position settings.

3 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 1 , wherein the motor includes one or more linear motors and/or stepper motors.

4 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 1 , wherein the voice-controlled motorized assembly is configured to automatically move the display bracket to one of the plurality of user-selected position settings based on a voice-command from a user.

5 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 1 , wherein the voice-controlled motorized assembly is programmed for voice-controlled

raising of the display bracket,

lowering of the display bracket, and/or

programming of the control device.

6 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 1 , wherein the voice-controlled motorized assembly includes a controller programmed to enable communications, via a local network, with at least one of a IoT Hub or a digital assistant for voice-inputs.

7 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 1 , wherein the display bracket automatically rotates relative to the wall upon vertical movement of the display bracket.

8 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 1 , wherein the motor is connected to an extendable member.

9 . A voice-controlled television mounting system comprising:

a television mount assembly configured to couple to a wall, the television mount assembly including

a display bracket, and

a linkage assembly movable between a raised configuration to position the display bracket at a raised position and a lowered configuration to position the display bracket at a lowered position;

a voice-controlled motor assembly including

a motor,

a wireless remote, and

a control device communicatively coupled to the motor and programmed to

receive at least one communication from the wireless remote,

cause the motor to move the display bracket to a user-selected position based on the at least one communication, and

enable wireless communications with a user device for controlling the motor,

wherein the voice-controlled television mounting system is configured to control operation of the motor based on one or more voice commands, from a user, received by at least one of the wireless remote or the user device.

10 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 9 , wherein the user device is at least one of a smartphone or a tablet.

11 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 9 , wherein the wireless remote is configured to program the user-selected position.

12 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 9 , wherein the voice-controlled motor assembly includes one or more linear motors and/or stepper motors.

13 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 9 , wherein the voice-controlled motor assembly is configured to automatically move the display bracket to the user-selected position based on a voice-command from the user.

14 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 9 , wherein the voice-controlled motor assembly is programmed for voice-controlled

raising of the display bracket,

lowering of the display bracket, and/or

programming of the control device.

15 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 9 , wherein the voice-controlled motor assembly includes a controller programmed to enable communications with at least one of a IoT Hub or a digital assistant for voice-inputs.

16 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 9 , wherein the display bracket automatically rotates relative to the wall upon vertical movement of the display bracket.

17 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 9 , wherein the voice-controlled motor assembly includes an extendable member.

18 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 9 , further comprising a counterbalancing mechanism including one or more linear slides, threaded rods, pulleys, or combinations thereof.

19 . The voice-controlled television mounting system of claim 9 , wherein the user-selected position includes a stowed raised position or the lowered position.

20 . A television mounting system comprising:

a display bracket configured to carry a television;

a support bracket configured to couple to a support structure;

an arm assembly coupled to the support bracket and movable relative to the support bracket to raise and lower the display bracket;

a positioner assembly coupled to the support bracket and configured to operate to move the display bracket relative to the support bracket;

a wireless remote; and

a control device configured to control the positioner assembly, wherein the control device includes memory configured to store a user-programmed position corresponding to an input displayed by a controller and/or a button of the wireless remote, wherein the control device is programmed to independently communicate, via first wireless communication, with the wireless remote to automatically move the display bracket, and

communicate, via a second wireless communication, with the controller to automatically move the display bracket to the user-programmed position in response to a user selecting the input displayed by the controller, wherein the controller is different from the wireless remote and is at least one of a smartphone or a tablet.

21 . The television mounting system of claim 20 , wherein the control device is programmed to

communicate, via a local wireless network, with an automation device that receives one or more voice commands from the user,
