WIRELESS HEADSET WITH REMOTE PARENTAL CONTROLS
System comprises a headset and a host server. Headset comprises a wireless communication circuit for receiving content transmitted wirelessly to the headset. Headset comprises a right earphone and a left earphone, each comprising a speaker. Host server is in communication with the headset and is for wirelessly streaming the content to the wireless communication circuit. The host server is configured to prevent wireless streaming of prohibited content for playing by the headset based on a parental control applicable to the headset and a rating for the prohibited content.
1 . A system, comprising:
a headset comprising:
a wireless communication circuit for receiving content transmitted wirelessly to the headset; and
a right earphone and a left earphone, wherein each of the right and left earphones comprises a speaker; and
a host server in communication with the headset and for wirelessly streaming the content to the wireless communication circuit, wherein the host server is configured to prevent wireless streaming of prohibited content for playing by the headset based on a parental control applicable to the headset and a rating for the prohibited content.
2 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a client computing device communicably coupled to the host server, wherein the client computing device is for receiving a user input, and wherein the parental control is generated based on the user input.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the host server is further configured to host a website configured to receive the user input, and wherein the client computing device can access the website for provision of the user input.
4 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the the host server is further configured to generate a log of the content wirelessly streamed to the wireless communication circuit of the headset.
5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the client computing device is further for accessing the log of the content wirelessly streamed to the wireless communication circuit of the headset.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the headset further comprises a system-on-a-chip, and wherein the system-on-a-chip comprises the wireless communication circuit.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the wirelessly streamed content is hosted by a streaming digital audio content server on a network, and wherein the wirelessly streamed content is accessed via a network address for the streaming digital audio content server on the network.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the prohibited content is hosted by a streaming digital audio content server on a network, and wherein the host server is configured to prevent wireless streaming of the prohibited content by preventing access to a network address for the streaming digital audio content server on the network.
9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the rating indicates that the prohibited content is explicit.
10 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of headsets, wherein the headset is one of the plurality of headsets, and wherein the host server is further configured to prevent wireless streaming of prohibited content for playing by each headset of the plurality of headsets based on a plurality of parental controls, and wherein each parental control of the plurality of parental controls corresponds to each headset of the plurality of headsets.
11 . The headset of claim 1 , wherein host server is further for wirelessly streaming the content to the wireless communication circuit in accordance with a plurality of settings, and wherein the parental control is one of the plurality of settings.
12 . The headset of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of settings further comprises a sound quality setting.
13 . A headset, comprising:
a right earphone and a left earphone, wherein each of the right and left earphones comprises a speaker; and
a wireless communication circuit for receiving content streamed wirelessly by a host server, and wherein the headset cannot wirelessly stream prohibited content based on a parental control applicable to the headset and a rating for the prohibited content.
14 . The headset of claim 13 , wherein the wirelessly streamed content is hosted by a streaming digital audio content server on a network, and wherein the headset accesses the wirelessly streamed content via a network address for the streaming digital audio content server on the network.
15 . The headset of claim 13 , wherein the prohibited content is hosted by a streaming digital audio content server on a network, and wherein the headset is prevented from accessing a network address for the streaming digital audio content server on the network.
16 . The headset of claim 13 , wherein the rating indicates that the prohibited content is explicit.
17 . The headset of claim 13 , wherein the headset is in communication with a client computing device, and wherein the wirelessly streamed content is tracked via a log accessed via the client computing device.
18 . The headset of claim 13 , the content is wirelessly streamed to the wireless communication circuit in accordance with a plurality of settings, and wherein the parental control is one of the plurality of settings.
19 . A system, comprising:
a headset comprising:
a wireless communication circuit for receiving content transmitted wirelessly to the headset; and
a right earphone and a left earphone, wherein each of the right and left earphones comprises a speaker; and
a host server in communication with the headset and for wirelessly streaming content to the wireless communication circuit, wherein the host server is configured to generate a parental control for the headset based on a user input received by the host server, and wherein the host server is configured to prevent wireless streaming of prohibited content for playing by the headset based on the parental control.
20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the parental control comprises a rating associated with the prohibited content, and wherein prevention of wireless streaming of prohibited content for playing by the headset is further based on the rating associated with the prohibited content.
