LIGHT EMITTING DIODES AND DIODE ARRAYS FOR SMART RING VISUAL OUTPUT
A system for displaying information can include a ring band configured to be worn on a finger of a user. The system for displaying information also can include a processor disposed within the ring band and configured to receive data from a sensor within the ring band. The system for displaying information further can include an output device communicatively coupled to the processor comprising a display. The display of the output device can be configured to emit a first color based on a battery level of a ring. The display of the output device also can be configured to emit a second color based on a malfunction of the ring. The display of the output device further can be configured to emit a third color based on an active communicative link with the ring. Other embodiments are disclosed.
1 . A system for displaying information, comprising:
a ring band configured to be worn on a finger of a user;
a processor disposed within the ring band and configured to receive data from a sensor within the ring band; and
an output device communicatively coupled to the processor comprising a display, wherein the display of the output device is configured to:
emit a first color based on a battery level of a ring;
emit a second color based on a malfunction of the ring; and
emit a third color based on an active communicative link with the ring.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the output device is configured to emit one or more of a white light emitting diode (LED) or a monochromatic LED.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first color comprises one or more of a green blue color, a red color, a violet color, a yellow color, or an orange color.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second color comprises:
a red color; and
the second color is different from one or more of the first color or the third color.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the third color comprises:
one or more of a green blue color, a red color, a violet color, a yellow color, or an orange color; and
the third color is different from one or more of the first color or the second color.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the output device is further configured to:
emit one or more of a green blue color, a red color, a violet color, a yellow color, or an orange color to indicate a status of the ring.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the output device is further configured to:
emit a green color to indicate a pulse rate within a pulse rate range.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the output device is configured to wrap around the ring band.
9 . The system for displaying information of claim 2 , wherein the output devices is further configured to:
emit a sequential illumination of a first LED and a second LED.
10 . A method of displaying information, comprising:
providing a ring band configured to be worn on a finger of a user;
receiving data from a sensor within the ring band by a processor disposed within the ring band;
by a display of an output device communicatively coupled to the processor disposed within the ring band of a ring:
emitting a first color based on a battery level of the ring;
emitting a second color based on a malfunction of the ring; and
emitting a third color based on an active communicative link with the ring.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the display of the output device is further configured to emit one or more of a white light emitting diode (LED) or a monochromatic LED.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the first color comprises one or more of a green blue color, a red color, a violet color, a yellow color, or an orange color.
13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the second color comprises:
a red color; and
the second color is different from one or more of the first color or the third color.
14 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising:
emitting, by the output device, a sequential illumination of a first LED and a second LED.
15 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media comprising computing instructions that, when executed on one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
receiving data from a sensor within a ring band by a processor disposed within the ring band; and
by a display of an output device communicatively coupled to the processor disposed within the ring band of a ring:
emitting a first color based on a battery level of the ring;
emitting a second color based on a malfunction of the ring; and
emitting a third color based on an active communicative link with the ring.
16 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the display is further configured to emit one or more of a white light emitting diode (LED) or a monochromatic LED.
17 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the first color comprises one or more of a green blue color, a red color, a violet color, a yellow color, or an orange color.
18 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the second color comprises:
a red color; and
the second color is different from one or more of the first color or the third color.
19 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the third color comprises:
one or more of a green blue color, a red color, a violet color, a yellow color, or an orange color; and
the third color is different from one or more of the first color or the second color.
20 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the display is further configured to emit a sequential illumination of a first LED and a second LED.
