METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ADMINISTERING DYNAMIC USER EXPERIENCE APPLICATIONS
A method of administering dynamic user experience applications includes a user-initiated query wherein the user-initiated query includes one or more paths and/or one or more steps, and wherein the user-initiated query includes an operation. The method may include executing the operation with respect to the one or more paths and/ or the one or more steps, transmitting an output of executing the operation to the user, and displaying the output of executing the operation to the user.
1 . A method of administering dynamic applications, the method comprising:
receiving, by a processor and from an electronic device, an input identifying:
a digital workflow comprising a sequence of steps, and
a requested change to a configuration parameter associated with the workflow;
modifying, by the processor, the configuration parameter in accordance with the requested change, the modified configuration parameter indicating:
an entity permitted to create instances of the workflow, in accordance with the modified configuration parameter, and
a period of time after which the instances of the workflow cannot be created; and
transmitting, by the processor, an output to the electronic device, the output causing the electronic device to update a user interface, presented by the electronic device, to indicate the modified configuration parameter.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the entity is a first entity, and the instances of the workflow are executable, after creation, by a device of a second entity, different from the first entity, to complete the sequence of steps.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the workflow indicates:
a property required for completing a step of the sequence of steps, and
a status of the step indicative of a current value of the property.
4 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:
receiving at a first time, by the processor and from a first device associated with the first entity, a request to create an instance of the workflow;
determining, by the processor, that the period of time is unexpired;
based on the request, and on determining that the period of time is unexpired, creating, by the processor, a first instance of the workflow; and
providing, by the processor, the first instance of the workflow to the device.
5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising:
providing, by the processor, and to an additional device, a second instance of the workflow, wherein the additional device executes the second instance at a different time than the first instance of the workflow.
6 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising:
receiving, by the processor and from the first device, an additional request to create an additional instance of the workflow at a second time after the first time;
determining, by the processor, that the period of time has expired; and
based on determining that the period of time has expired, providing, by the processor and to the first device, an indication that creation of an instance of the workflow is prohibited at the second time.
7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, by the processor and from the electronic device, an additional input indicating an operation associated a step of the sequence of steps; and
modifying, by the processor and based on the operation, the step of the sequence of steps, wherein the modification includes at least one of:
creating an additional step to be added to the sequence of steps after the step,
modifying a display order of an output of performing the step,
deleting the step from the sequence of steps,
updating one or more dependencies corresponding to the step, or
updating input resources of the step.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the additional input includes information indicating one or more input fields of the step, and creating the additional step comprises:
creating, by the processor and based on information included in the additional input, step logic to be executed during execution of the step, the one or more input fields corresponding to operands of the step logic.
9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the additional step includes validation logic executable to determine, based on an input received during performance of the additional step, whether a requirement of the workflow is satisfied.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the input includes one or more cryptographic keys corresponding the workflow, the method further comprising:
determining, by the processor, a match between the one or more cryptographic keys and corresponding keys associated with the workflow,
wherein modifying the configuration parameter is further based on determining the match.
11 . A system, comprising:
a processor; and
a non-transitory memory coupled to the processor and storing executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
receive, from an electronic device, an input identifying:
a digital workflow comprising a sequence of steps, and
a requested change to a configuration parameter associated with the workflow;
modify the configuration parameter in accordance with the requested change, the modified configuration parameter indicating:
an entity permitted to create instances of the workflow, in accordance with the modified configuration parameter, and
a period of time after which the instances of the workflow cannot be created; and
transmit an output to the electronic device, the output causing the electronic device to update a user interface, presented by the electronic device, to indicate the modified configuration parameter.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to:
receive, at a first time and from a first device associated with the entity, a request to create an instance of the workflow;
determine that the period of time is unexpired;
based on the request, and on determining that the period of time is unexpired, create a first instance of the workflow,
wherein the first instance is executable by a second device of an additional entity to complete the sequence of steps; and
provide the first instance of the workflow to the second device.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to:
receive, from the first device, an additional request to create an additional instance of the workflow at a second time after the first time;
determine that the period of time has expired; and
based on determining that the period of time has expired, provide, to the first device, an indication that creation of an instance of the workflow is prohibited at the second time.
14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to:
create a tree data structure corresponding to the sequence of steps, the tree data structure comprising nodes that correspond to each respective step of the sequence of steps, and each node including one or both of a pointer to another node and a pointer to a leaf node,
wherein executing the first instance of the workflow comprises executing each node in the tree data structure according to a tree traversal algorithm.
15 . The system of claim 12 , wherein a user experience (UX) of the workflow is based at least in part on UX data collected from the second device, wherein the UX data comprises:
information inputted by the additional entity,
a type of the second device, and
a location of the second device.
16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to:
receive, from the electronic device, an additional input indicating an operation associated a step of the sequence of steps; and
modify, based on the operation, the step of the sequence of steps, wherein the modification includes at least one of:
adding an additional step to the sequence of steps after the step,
modifying a display order of an output of performing the step,
deleting the step from the sequence of steps,
updating one or more dependencies corresponding to the step, or
updating input resources of the step.
17 . A tangible, non-transitory computer-readable medium storing executable instructions that, when executed by a processor of a system, cause the processor to:
receive, from an electronic device, an input identifying:
a workflow comprising a sequence of steps, and
a requested change to a configuration parameter associated with the workflow;
modify the configuration parameter in accordance with the requested change, the modified configuration parameter indicating:
an entity permitted to create instances of the workflow, in accordance with the modified configuration parameter, and
a period of time after which the instances of the workflow cannot be created; and
transmit an output to the electronic device, the output causing the electronic device to update a user interface, presented by the electronic device, to indicate the modified configuration parameter.
18 . The tangible, non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the entity is a first entity, and the instances of the workflow are executable, after creation, by a device of a second entity, different from the first entity, to complete the sequence of steps.
19 . The tangible, non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to:
receive, from a first device associated with the entity, a request to create an instance of the workflow;
determine that the period of time is unexpired;
based on the request, and on determining that the period of time is unexpired, create a first instance of the workflow; and
provide the first instance of the workflow to a second device of an additional entity to complete the sequence of steps.
20 . The tangible, non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to:
provide, to an additional device, a second instance of the workflow, wherein the additional device executes the second instance at a different time than the first instance of the workflow.
