Abstract

A computing system configured to perform operations is provided. The operation operations include obtaining multi-modal transportation data associated with a multi-modal transportation service. The multi-modal transportation data includes user data indicative of a multi-modal transportation itinerary for a user. The operations include obtaining facility data associated with an aerial transport facility. The facility data is indicative of parameters associated with each of a plurality of transition points at the aerial transport facility. The operations include determining one of the plurality of transition points as a selected transition point for the user based, at least in part, on the multi-modal transportation data and the facility data. The operations further include communicating one or more command signals associated with controlling operation of the selected transition point for the user.

21 . A system for indicating transition points at an aerial transport facility, the system comprising:

one or more processors; and

one or more tangible, non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations, the operations comprising:

accessing data associated with a multi-modal transportation service, and that comprises user data indicative of itineraries for a plurality of users of the multi-modal transportation service;

accessing data associated with an aerial transport facility and indicative of parameters associated with each of a plurality of transition points at the aerial transport facility;

computing, based on the data associated with the multi-modal transportation service and the data associated with the aerial transport facility, a first transition point of the plurality of transition points for a first user of the plurality of users and a second transition point of the plurality of transition points for a second user of the plurality of users;

transmitting command signals for the first and second transition points;

operating, in response to the command signal for the first transition point, a light source at the first transition point to emit light at a first color; and

operating, in response to the command signal for the second transition point, a light source at the second transition point to emit light at a second color, wherein the second color is different than the first color.

22 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the first and second transition points are spaced apart at the aerial transport facility.

23 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the first and second users are moving through the aerial transport facility at concurrent times when the light source at the first transition point is operating at the first characteristic and the light source at the second transition point is operating at the second characteristic.

24 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the operations further comprise:

transmitting, for a user device of the first user, a notification for the first user to utilize the first transition point indicated by the first color; and

transmitting, for a user device of the second user, a notification for the second user to utilize the second transition point indicated by the second color.

25 . The system of claim 24 , wherein the operations further comprise:

transmitting, for the user device of the first user, data indicative of a map for the first user to travel through the aerial transport facility to the first transition point indicated by the first color; and

transmitting, for the user device of the second user, data indicative of a map for the second user to travel through the aerial transport facility to the second transition point indicated by the second color.

26 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the operations further comprise transmitting, for a user device of the first user, data indicative of access information for the first transition point indicated by the first color.

27 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the data indicative of access information for the first transition point comprises one or both of an access code and a QR code for an access control system associated with the first transition point indicated by the first color.

28 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the plurality of transition points comprises at least one of: (i) a plurality of ingress points of the aerial transport facility; (ii) a plurality of egress points of the aerial transport facility; or (iii) a plurality of elevators of the aerial transport facility.

29 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the first and second transition points are each a respective one of the plurality of ingress points, the plurality of egress points, or the plurality of elevators such that the light sources at the first and second transition points are spaced apart at the aerial transport facility.

30 . The system of claim 21 , wherein each of the itineraries for the plurality of users comprises at least a first leg and a second leg, the first leg comprising a ground-based transportation service associated with transporting the user to or from the aerial transport facility, the second leg comprising an aerial-based transportation service associated with transporting the user to or from the aerial transport facility.

31 . A system for indicating transition points at an aerial transport facility, the system comprising:

one or more processors; and

one or more tangible, non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations, the operations comprising:

accessing data associated with a multi-modal transportation service, and that comprises user data indicative of itineraries for a plurality of users of the multi-modal transportation service;

accessing data associated with an aerial transport facility and indicative of parameters associated with each of a plurality of transition points at the aerial transport facility;

computing, based on the data associated with the multi-modal transportation service and the data associated with the aerial transport facility, a first transition point of the plurality of transition points for a first user of the plurality of users and a second transition point of the plurality of transition points for a second user of the plurality of users;

transmitting command signals for the first and second transition points;

operating, in response to the command signal for the first transition point, a light source at the first transition point to emit light with a first characteristic; and

operating, in response to the command signal for the second transition point, a light source at the second transition point to emit light with a second characteristic, wherein the second characteristic is different than the first characteristic.

32 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the operations further comprise:

transmitting, for a user device of the first user, a notification for the first user to utilize the first transition point indicated by the first characteristic; and
