Abstract

Disclosed is a low-cost, compact image pickup lens for a solid-state image pickup element. The image pickup lens includes, in the order from an object side, a first lens L 1, which has a convex surface facing the object side on an optical axis and has a positive refractive power; a second lens L 2, which has a concave surface facing an image side on the optical axis and has a negative refractive power; a third lens L 3, which has a convex surface facing the object side on the optical axis and has a meniscus shape; a fourth lens L 4, which has a convex surface facing the image side on the optical axis, has a positive refractive power, and has a meniscus shape; and a fifth lens L 5, which has a concave surface facing the image side on the optical axis, has a negative refractive power, and has a meniscus shape.

Claims (124)

1. An image pickup lens for a solid-state image pickup element, comprising, in the order from an object side:

a first lens, which has a convex surface facing the object side on an optical axis and has a positive refractive power;

a second lens, which has a concave surface facing an image side on the optical axis and has a negative refractive power;

a third lens, which has a convex surface facing the object side on the optical axis and has a meniscus shape;

a fourth lens, which has a convex surface facing the image side on the optical axis, has a positive refractive power, and has a meniscus shape; and

a fifth lens, which has a concave surface facing the image side on the optical axis, has a negative refractive power, and has a meniscus shape.

2. The image pickup lens according to claim 1 , wherein the Abbe number of a material used for the first lens and the second lens satisfies conditional expressions (1) and (2) below:

45<ν1<90  (1)

22<ν2<35  (2)

where ν1 is the Abbe number for d-line of the first lens, and ν 2 is the Abbe number for d-line of the second lens.

3. The image pickup lens according to claim 1 , wherein the second lens, the third lens, the fourth lens, and the fifth lens are so-called plastic lenses that have at least one aspherical surface and are made of a resin material.

4. The image pickup lens according to claim 1 , wherein an aperture stop is positioned on the object side of the first lens.

5. The image pickup lens according to claim 1 , wherein the object-side surface and the image-side surface of the fifth lens have an aspherical shape that contains at least one inflection point between the center and the periphery of the lens.

6. The image pickup lens according to claim 1 , wherein the first lens and the second lens satisfy conditional expressions (3) and (4) below:

0.5<ƒ1/ƒ<1.00  (3)

−1.50<ƒ2/ƒ<−0.65  (4)

where f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire image pickup lens, f 1 is the focal length of the first lens, and f 2 is the focal length of the second lens.

7. The image pickup lens according to claim 1 , wherein the fourth lens and the fifth lens satisfy conditional expressions (5) and (6) below:

0.9<ƒ4/ƒ<1.50  (5)

−1.70<ƒ5/ƒ<−0.85  (6)

where f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire image pickup lens, f 4 is the focal length of the fourth lens, and f 5 is the focal length of the fifth lens.

8. The image pickup lens according to claim 1 , wherein the first lens and the third lens satisfy conditional expression (7) below:

−0.15<ƒ1/ƒ3<0.37  (7)

where f 1 is the focal length of the first lens, and f 3 is the focal length of the third lens.

9. The image pickup lens according to claim 1 ,

wherein the second lens, the third lens, and the fourth lens satisfy conditional expression (8) below:

0.0<ƒ2·3·4  (8)

where f 2 · 3 · 4 is the composite focal length of the second, third, and fourth lenses.

10. The image pickup lens according to claim 1 , wherein the first lens, the second lens, the third lens, the fourth lens, and the fifth lens satisfy conditional expressions (9), (10), and (11) below:

where f 1 is the focal length of the first lens, f 2 is the focal length of the second lens, f 3 is the focal length of the third lens, f 4 is the focal length of the fourth lens, and f 5 is the focal length of the fifth lens.

11. The image pickup lens according to claim 10 , wherein the curvature radius of the first lens satisfies conditional expression (12) below:

−0.40<r1/r2<0.10  (12)

where r 1 is the curvature radius of the object-side surface of the first lens, and r 2 is the curvature radius of the image-side surface of the first lens.

12. The image pickup lens according claim 10 , wherein the curvature radius of the fourth lens satisfies expression (13) below:

1.4<r7/r8<3.0  (13)

where r 7 is the curvature radius of the object-side surface of the fourth lens, and r 8 is the curvature radius of the image-side surface of the fourth lens.

13. The image pickup lens according to claim 10 , wherein the optical length and focal length of an optical system thereof satisfy conditional expression (14) below:

1.05<L/ƒ<1.30  (14)

where L is the distance between the front surface of the first lens and an image surface, and f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire image pickup lens.

14. The image pickup lens according to claim 4 , wherein the diameter of the aperture stop satisfies conditional expression (15) below:

0.30<CA1/ƒ<0.50  (15)

where CA 1 is the diameter of the aperture stop, and f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire image pickup lens.

15. The image pickup lens according to claim 10 , wherein the Abbe number of a material used for the first lens and the second lens satisfies conditional expressions (1) and (2) below:

45<ν1<90  (1)

22<ν2<35  (2)

where ν1 is the Abbe number for d-line of the first lens, and ν2 is the Abbe number for d-line of the second lens.

16. The image pickup lens according to claim 10 , wherein the second lens, the third lens, the fourth lens, and the fifth lens are so-called plastic lenses that have at least one aspherical surface and are made of a resin material.

17. The image pickup lens according to claim 10 , wherein an aperture stop is positioned on the object side of the first lens.

18. The image pickup lens according to claim 10 , wherein the object-side surface and the image-side surface of the fifth lens have an aspherical shape that contains at least one inflection point between the center and the periphery of the lens.

19. An image pickup lens for a solid-state image pickup element, comprising, in the order from an object side:

a first lens, which has a convex surface facing the object side on an optical axis and has a positive refractive power;

a second lens, which has a concave surface facing an image side on the optical axis and has a negative refractive power;

a third lens, which has a convex surface facing the object side on the optical axis;

a fourth lens, which has a convex surface facing the image side on the optical axis and has a positive refractive power;

a fifth lens, which has a concave surface facing the image side on the optical axis and has a negative refractive power;

an aperture stop is positioned on the object side of the first lens;

wherein the first lens, the second lens, the third lens, the fourth lens, and the fifth lens are plastic lenses that are made of resin material, each lens having at least one aspherical surface;

the object-side surface and the image-side surface of the fifth lens have an aspherical shape that contains at least one inflection point between the center and the periphery of the lens; and

the optical length and focal length of an optical system thereof satisfy a conditional expression (14) below:

1.05<L/f<1.30  (14)

where L is the distance between the front surface of the first lens and an image surface, and f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire image pickup lens.

20. The image pickup lens according to claim 19, wherein the third lens, the fourth lens, and the fifth lens have a meniscus shape.

21. The image pickup lens according to claim 19, wherein the Abbe numbers of materials used for the first lens and the second lens satisfy conditional expressions (1) and (2) below:

45<ν1<90  (1)

22<ν2<35  (2)

where ν1 is the Abbe number for d-line of the first lens, and ν2 is the Abbe number for d-line of the second lens.

22. The image pickup lens according to claim 19, wherein the first lens and the second lens satisfy conditional expressions (3) and (4) below:

0.5<f1/f<1.00  (3)

−1.50<f2/f<−0.65  (4)

where f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire image pickup lens, f1 is the focal length of the first lens, and f2 is the focal length of the second lens.

23. The image pickup lens according to claim 19, wherein the fourth lens and the fifth lens satisfy conditional expressions (5) and (6) below:

0.9<f4/f<1.50  (5)

−1.70<f5/f<−0.85  (6)

where f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire age pickup lens, f4 is the focal length of the fourth lens, and f5 is the focal length of the fifth lens.

24. The image pickup lens according to claim 19, wherein the first lens and the third lens satisfy a conditional expression (7) below:

−0.15<f1/f3<0.37  (7)

where f1 is the focal length of the first lens, and f3 is the focal length of the third lens.

25. The image pickup lens according to claim 19, wherein the first lens, the second lens, the third lens, the fourth lens, and the fifth lens satisfy conditional expressions (9), (10), and (11) below:

where f1 is the focal length of the first lens, f2 is the focal length of the second lens, f3 is the focal length of the third lens, f4 is the focal length of the fourth lens, and f5 is the focal length of the fifth lens.

26. The image pickup lens according to claim 19, wherein the diameter of the aperture stop satisfies a conditional expression (15) below:

0.30<CA1/f<0.50  (15)

where CA1 is the diameter of the aperture stop, and f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire image pickup lens.

27. An image pickup lens for a solid-state image pickup element, comprising, in the order from an object side:

a first lens, which has a convex surface facing the object side on an optical axis and has a positive refractive power;

a second lens;

a third lens;

a fourth lens, which has a convex surface facing the image side on the optical axis and has a positive refractive power;

a fifth lens, which has a concave surface facing the image side on the optical axis and has a negative refractive power;

an aperture stop is positioned on the object side of the first lens;

wherein the first lens, the second lens, the third lens, the fourth lens, and the fifth lens are plastic lenses that are made of resin material, each lens having at least one aspherical surface;

the object-side surface and the image-side surface of the fifth lens have an aspherical shape that contains at least one inflection point between the center and the periphery of the lens; and

the optical length and focal length of an optical system thereof satisfy a conditional expression (14) below:

1.05<L/f<1.30  (14)

where L is the distance between the front surface of the first lens and an image surface, and f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire image pickup lens.

28. The image pickup lens according to claim 27, wherein the third lens, the fourth lens, and the fifth lens have a meniscus shape.

29. The image pickup lens according to claim 27, wherein the Abbe numbers of materials used for the first lens and the second lens satisfy conditional expressions (1) and (2) below:

22<ν2<35  (2)

where ν1 is the Abbe number for d-line of the first lens, and ν2 is the Abbe number for d-line of the second lens.

30. The image pickup lens according to claim 27, wherein the first lens and the second lens satisfy conditional expressions (3) and (4) below:

0.5<f1/f<1.00  (3)

−1.50<f2/f<−0.65  (4)

where f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire image pickup lens, f1 is the focal length of the first lens, and f2 is the focal length of the second lens.

31. The image pickup lens according to claim 27, wherein the fourth lens and the fifth lens satisfy conditional expressions (5) and (6) below:

0.9<f4/f<1.50  (5)

−1.70<f5/f<−0.85  (6)

where f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire age pickup lens, f4 is the focal length of the fourth lens, and f5 is the focal length of the fifth lens.

32. The image pickup lens according to claim 27, wherein the first lens and the third lens satisfy a conditional expression (7) below:

−0.15<f1/f3<0.37  (7)

where f1 is the focal length of the first lens, and f3 is the focal length of the third lens.

33. The image pickup lens according to claim 27, wherein the first lens, the second lens, the third lens, the fourth lens, and the fifth lens satisfy conditional expressions (9), (10), and (11) below:

where f1 is the focal length of the first lens, f2 is the focal length of the second lens, f3 is the focal length of the third lens, f4 is the focal length of the fourth lens, and f5 is the focal length of the fifth lens.

34. The image pickup lens according to claim 27, wherein the diameter of the aperture stop satisfies a conditional expression (15) below:

0.30<CA1/f<0.50  (15)

where CA1 is the diameter of the aperture stop, and f is the composite focal length of lenses included in the entire image pickup lens.
