Abstract

A method for performing a power scaling, the method performed by a user equipment (UE) configured with dual connectivity and the method includes determining, by the UE, an uplink transmission power to a first cell group including a first cell; determining, by the UE, an uplink transmission power to a second cell group including a second cell; and performing, by the UE, a power scaling for at least one of the determined uplink transmission power of the first cell group and the second cell group, wherein the power scaling is performed for at least one of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) including a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK)/negative-acknowledgement (NACK) signal or a scheduling request (SR).

Claims (24)

1. A method for performing a power scaling, the method performed by a user equipment (UE) configured with dual connectivity and the method comprising:

determining, by the UE, an uplink transmission power to a first cell group including a first cell;

determining, by the UE, an uplink transmission power to a second cell group including a second cell; and

performing, by the UE, a power scaling for at least one of the determined uplink transmission power of the first cell group and the second cell group,

wherein the power scaling is performed for at least one of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) including a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK)/negative-acknowledgement (NACK) signal or a scheduling request (SR).

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the power control is varied based on whether a sounding reference signal (SRS) is to be transmitted or not.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the power control is varied based on a case where the first cell group corresponds to a master cell group (MCG) and the second cell group belongs corresponds to a secondary cell group (SCG) or where the first cell group corresponds to the SCG and the second cell group corresponds to the MCG.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving, by the UE, a higher layer signal including configuration information to be used for the dual connectivity,

wherein the configuration information includes one of a first configuration and a second configuration.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink transmission power is determined based on a priority which specifies a sequential order of a physical random access channel (PRACH), PUCCH and PUSCH.

6. A user equipment (UE) for performing a power scaling, the UE comprising:

a reception unit configured with a dual connectivity; and

a processor configured to:

determine an uplink transmission power to a first cell group including a first cell;

determine an uplink transmission power to a second cell group including a second cell; and

perform a power scaling for at least one of the determined uplink transmission power of the first cell group and the second cell group,

wherein the power scaling is performed for at least one of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) including a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK)/negative-acknowledgement (NACK) signal or a scheduling request (SR).

7. The UE of claim 6 , wherein the power control is varied based on whether a sounding reference signal (SRS) is to be transmitted or not.

8. The UE of claim 6 , wherein the power control is varied based on a case where the first cell group corresponds to a master cell group (MCG) and the second cell group belongs corresponds to a secondary cell group (SCG) or where the first cell group corresponds to the SCG and the second cell group corresponds to the MCG.

9. The UE of claim 6 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

receive a higher layer signal including configuration information to be used for the dual connectivity,

wherein the configuration information includes one of a first configuration and a second configuration.

10. The UE of claim 6 , wherein the uplink transmission power is determined based on a priority which specifies a sequential order of a physical random access channel (PRACH), PUCCH and PUSCH.
