Abstract

A mobile node is provided having an address-obtaining unit that can obtain a temporary address that is assigned to the mobile node for each network to which the mobile node migrates. The temporary address is held an address hold unit and corresponds with a home address that has been set in advance. Additionally, an address post processing unit can post an address post message including the temporary address to a home migration host position control unit that manages addresses of the mobile node.

Claims (20)

1. A mobile node comprising:

(a) an address obtaining unit that obtains a temporary address that is assigned to the mobile node for each network to which the mobile node migrates;

(b) an address hold unit that holds the temporary address in correspondence with a home address that is set in advance; and

(c) an address post processing unit that posts an address post message including the temporary address to a home migration host position control unit that manages addresses of the mobile node.

2. The mobile node of claim 1 , wherein

the address post message includes the home address of the mobile node and the temporary address.

3. The mobile node of claim 1 , wherein

the address post message includes a flag that indicates a request for a response message that acknowledges that the address of the mobile node has been registered.

4. The mobile node of claim 1 , wherein

the address post message includes a sequence field for making a correspondence with a response message.

5. The mobile node of claim 1 , wherein

the address post processing unit receives a response message that is transmitted from a home migration host position control unit to acknowledge a reception of the address post message posted by the address post processing unit.

6. The mobile node of claim 5 , wherein

the response message includes a field that indicates presence or absence of an error in registration of the address of the mobile node.

7. The mobile node of claim 1 further comprising

a transfer packet reception processing unit that performs a reception process if a destination address of the received packet is a temporary address assigned to the mobile node.

8. The mobile node of claim 7 , wherein

the transfer packet reception processing unit extracts a noncapsulated data packet from the received packet, and supplies data contained in the extracted noncapsulated data packet to an upper layer processing unit.

9. The mobile node of claim 1 further comprising

a packet transmission processing unit that performs a capsulating process in which a header, which indicates a source address by a temporary address, to a noncapsulated data packet to be transmitted, and transmits a packet resulted from the capsulating process to the home migration host position control unit.
