1. A pacifier comprising:

a shield, a post, a cap, and a baglet, said shield comprising a first material and a second material, said first material and said second material having different hardnesses with respect to each other such that said first material is a harder material and said second material is a softer material;

said shield being constructed of said first, harder material;

said shield being further provided with said second material above said first, harder material such that said second material is positioned to rest next to a child's face when the child uses said pacifier;

said shield further comprising an opening;

wherein said post and said baglet penetrate said opening in said shield;

wherein said cap is coupled with said post; and,

wherein said cap is permanently affixed to said pacifier.

2. A pacifier as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said first, harder material functions structurally as a backing to said second material.

3. A pacifier as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said second material covers at least a portion of said shield of said first, harder material.

4. A pacifier as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said second material is molded onto said first, harder material.

5. A pacifier as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said shield comprises two shields that are attached together.

6. A pacifier comprising:

a shield, a post, a baglet, and a cap, said shield comprising a first component and a second component, said first component comprising a first material, said second component comprising a second material, said first material and said second material of said pacifier shield having different hardnesses with respect to each other such that said first material is a harder material and said second material is a softer material;

said first component further comprising a first opening;

wherein said second component is above said first component, such that said pacifier shield comprises a first side comprising said first component and a second side comprising said second component, and such that said second component is positioned to rest next to a child's face when the child uses said pacifier;

wherein said post and said baglet penetrate said first opening;

wherein said cap is provided on said first side;

wherein said cap is coupled with said post; and,

wherein said cap is permanently affixed to said pacifier.

7. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 wherein said second component further comprises a second opening.

8. A pacifier as claimed in claim 7 , wherein said post and said baglet penetrate said second opening.

9. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said shield is made using compression molding.

10. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said shield is made using injection molding.

11. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said shield is made using transfer molding.

12. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said second component is molded onto said first component.

13. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said shield further comprises two pacifier shields that are attached together.

14. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said first component further comprises a first pacifier shield, and said second component further comprises a second pacifier shield.

15. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said post comprises a second opening, and wherein said baglet extends through said second opening in said post.

16. A pacifier as claimed in claim 14 , wherein said post comprises a second opening, and wherein said baglet extends through said second opening.

17. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said first side and said second side are opposing sides of said pacifier shield.

18. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said cap is a domed cap.

19. A pacifier as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said cap is permanently affixed to said post.

20. A pacifier comprising:

a shield, a post, a cap, and a baglet, said shield comprising a first material and a second material, said first material and said second material having different hardnesses with respect to each other such that said first material is a harder material and said second material is a softer material;

said shield being constructed of said first, harder material;

said shield being further provided with said second material above said first, harder material such that said second material is positioned to rest next to a child's face when the child uses said pacifier;

said shield further comprising an opening;

wherein said post and said baglet penetrate said opening in said pacifier shield;

wherein said cap is coupled with said post;

wherein said cap is permanently affixed to said pacifier; and,

wherein said baglet comprises a neck, said baglet comprising bumps located on the exterior surface of said neck, said bumps comprising two materials, and wherein one of said two materials is harder than the other of said two materials.

21. A pacifier as claimed in claim 20 , wherein said bumps comprise protrusions extending upward from said exterior surface.

22. A pacifier as claimed in claim 21 , wherein said protrusions are provided for rubbing against a child's gums to assist with the child's teething.
